Our stay at Petra Hotel on Patmos Island was a perfect choice for our vacation. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the entire team. They made sure all our needs were taken care of, and everyone was friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Angee from the front desk was especially helpful and kind, both before and during our stay.

Our room was very comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, with a team that responded to every request quickly and cheerfully. The room amenities and the handmade breakfast were both very satisfying and felt special to us.

The hotel owner, Ms. Petra, personally took care of every detail during our stay. She made my birthday unforgettable with her extraordinary hospitality and thoughtfulness. She truly made the day feel very special.

The Petra is an incredible jewel of a hotel on such a magical island. My husband and I have spent the past two summers visiting Patmos and it is never a question of where we will stay, and in fact, last night we booked our stay for June of 2025. Founded by a couple many years ago, the Petra is a perfect blend of classic Greek hospitality with an updated, state of the art property.. The hotel has an incredible view overlooking Griko Bay, sleek pool, inviting sun loungers with plenty of umbrellas for those who prefer shade. The rooms are lovely, and you are greeted with snacks and lemonade upon arrival. The food, led by Mrs. Petra, is outstanding. There is a bountiful breakfast prepared each morning, and my husband and I love having a rocket salad after spending the day on the water. The hotel staff, again, lead by Mrs. Petra, goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a wonderful time. We would have never discovered some of our favorite things and places to go on the island without the suggestions of the Petra concierge. My husband and I have made some of our favorite memories on Patmos and at the Petra and will continue visiting for years to come. Can’t wait to see you guys in June!

Tucked away in a stunning quiet bay, the most perfect place to spend a week. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming & attentive. Christos & his family made us feel like old friends from the minute we arrived. I’m thrilled to have found your hotel & we will come back again next year!

I travel all around the world and stay at hotels most of the time. I must tell you that our experience at Petra was one of a kind! Christos and the whole family genuinely care about your wellbeing and comfort. The staff reflect their vision as well.

It was my partner’s and my birthday one day apart during our stay. They surprised us both days with cakes and singing. One of the other guests joked that our table must be special and they wanted our table next morning :)

Great location, a short ride away from the hustle and bustle of port area. The rooms are nice, cozy and clean. Amazing breakfast, you will start your day deliciously. You can book restaurants in the island through Petra’s website. Taxi always comes fast because the request is from Petra.

Honestly, we can’t wait to go back there and hopefully stay longer at this oasis!

We loved our time in Patmos and the Petra Hotel & Suites were a large part of that. They greeted us at the ferry late at night when we were tired and hungry, checked us in quickly and even sent us up some food since we were starving and everything was closed. The property is beautiful and the breakfasts delicious. The best part however is the personal service you will receive. They set us up with our four wheelers for our whole trip, made restaurant recommendations and reservations and were always available for advice and suggestions.

Petra Hotel & Suites was a highlight of our trip to Greece. It is a beautiful place with amazing views of the sea and wonderful suites that feel more like home than a hotel. The breakfasts were outstanding in variety and quality of the offerings. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our stay was relaxing and refreshing and I highly recommend the Petra to anyone visiting the Island of Patmos.
