Villas in Vamos

The owner Maria met us at the property and she had even prepared us some food on a late arrival which was most welcome! Also her husband Georgos helped us with the luggage which was very helpful.

Top notch, modern, spacious villa with a great outdoor space and scenic views from the balconies. Just a 10 minute walk to Kalyves beech. Minor point, it's located on a main road so the traffic can be a little noisy. Thoroughly recommend.

Really nice place, enough space for 4 people and the house ist really good equipped! Only a short 10 minutes walk to the beach and some good restaurants. Nice view and very clean. I would book it again!

An excellent place! Lovely garden around the pool, smartly furnished and very well-equipped interior. The landlords are really helpful. The villa’s position is very good for visiting any place on western Crete, but also make sure you do not miss the beach just 700 meters down a dirt-road from Villa Yianna!

We stayed at Villa Ammos which was just perfect. The sunsets are fantastic and it is a 3 minute walk to the small town. We have visited twice and we will be back.

We stayed during the shoulder season right before most places opened up for summer, so the town was quiet and not busy. Very cozy house, two rooms with air conditioning, living room, and spacious and well-kept outdoor areas. Very good sea views allow you to relax having breakfast or a drink. Stone beach a few meters away, better for our taste than the more distant sandy ones, it allows diving and enjoying. Excellent villa by the sea. Kitchen-living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Veranda overlooking the sea, a small patio with sun loungers and an umbrella. Air conditioners in every bedroom. We arrived very late (flight) but we were welcomed personally and taken to our room. The location is generally quiet and the view from the restaurant terrace is great. Our accommodation was fine, with plenty of space. The short walk up to the village centre, for our evening meals, was quite acceptable.

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel. I would like to give it five stars because the food, view and setting are lovely. However almost every time we eat there, the service (although friendly) is appallingly slow. Incredible hospitality! Mrs Helen & Mr Leonidas took such wonderful care of me during my extended stay in late Nov & Dec. They truly treated me so well, checking in on me when I had a cold and bringing me lots of tea ☕️. Loved the BIG spacious rooms and kitchenette. The warm welcoming of the family sets the rhythm for genuine Cretan hospitality. I could not believe what I saw when I visited the apartments. I could practically live there! The stone walls and sturdy high quality wooden furniture warm the place, while the special handmade embroidery weaved by the lovely Mrs. Eleni will take your breath away.
