Very nice, clean place. Kind, polite service.

Great for two-days city escape. Nice tradition, when baker leaves fresh bread at your doors at early morning. The only thing was that there were no coverage at the top of the staircase - seen very dangerous for families with small kids. And be aware - a bell from the nearby church will wake you up at 5am :)

During our time here, we had a wonderful time travel. We can live in an authentic cottage that is more than 100 years old. Entering the kitchen, we were always greeted by pleasant warmth, the built-in stove made us forget that there is actually central heating in the house. It was an island of peace and relaxation. We'll be back one day, in another season!

I stayed here on my long distance hike through Hungary. It was a nice opportunity to spend a night in the middle of the UNESCO world heritage village of Hollókö. My house had quaint original furniture but modern sanitation facilities. A restaurant was nearby. The castle is also not far, as well as the many little museums of the village. On November 4, we arrived at the restaurant 1 hour before closing time, and were greeted by a pleasant welcome. Everything we chose from the menu was available and ready quickly. Friendly service, family atmosphere.

The Jókai bean soup and venison ragu soup were very tasty and plentiful. The service was quick. There was a lot of traffic, so we could only squeeze in a less cozy table.

We stopped by for lunch with our Australian guest. Great food (Jókai bean soup, strapacska with sheep curd), attentive service, coffee served in a regular porcelain cup, I can only recommend it. Our guest said that even his Hungarian mother can't cook such delicious bean soup :-) ...

Food is acceptable , but not great. Service is slow

We only stopped in for a late lunch, we had very nice service. The food was delicious, but I didn't expect much anyway. The side dish needs to be practiced, but it is not an inedible category. The lemonade was delicious. The price-value ratio is completely correct and we especially thank you for the live music!

It is a perfect starting point for tours.

There is no or little Wi-Fi in the building. The washbasin lacked a mirror for shaving. Overall calm, totally suitable for tourists.

Kind and helpful staff, skewering, cooking facilities, parking in the yard, cool walls due to the thick walls, even in summer, very good excursion places within easy reach of the accommodation.

Now on Pentecost weekend we were with my partner for 3 days 2 nights. The breakfast and dinner would have been in the bean soup inn 4km away but since we were not brought home by car, they were very decent. The place is really wonderful. It's in the very end of the village surrounded by the forest. We can say it's a great place for a weekend getaway. The owner is a family and all of them (whom we met) were very nice and friendly. Their hospitality is unquestionable. The only disappointment was the dinner. I've checked the pictures and I was expecting fine dining and instead we've practically got a chicken...

An exceptional and beautiful little place. Very peaceful and quiet. Rooms are tidy and clean. Staff is very friendly and professional. Wifi coverage is perfect throughout the whole hotel (no blind spots). Very tasty kitchen. Hiking path begins right off the edge of the property.

Affordable beautiful apartman in a small village in the hungarian mountains, very nice and helpful hosts, breakfast is better than in a 4-star hotel. Mátraszentistván Sípark is in 10-minute- walk distance. i loved it! :)

Nice place to relax for wellness. However expensive!

We passed randomly while hiking, had lunch and a quick swim inside. The stuff were amazing and interactive, smiley, enthousiaste and helpful.

Good for hungarian speaking guests,mixed age , for english there is struggle from the staff, some countries do not even exist in their check in system

I've enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Staff was very polite, helpful and friendly, cooperative with any needs. I found the beds in the rooms a bit uncomfortable and the room design is a bit old, but the overall experience was great. The food was exceptionally good.

There were 6 of us at the accommodation ... I can’t even put into words how well we felt. The house has everything you could need, we found no shortage of anything. We caught it in pouring rain, but we still had a good time. The garden is fabulous and the house is. I highly recommend it to everyone and we are sure to be returning guests. Very nice place. The view is wonderful. The house is very comfortable for 4 people but can accommodate up to 6 people. Hiking trails are all close by. The house tis well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the blankets are modern. Idevisszajövünk.

Cozy little guesthouse with several rooms. There are double and family rooms, each with a fridge and TV. There are several bathrooms and toilets per floor, so almost every guest can use their own. Large shared kitchen and dining room with several tables and several gas stoves. Sauna. I can only recommend.

The room does not have a shower or air conditioning. It is 40 degrees outside. The view is, of course, beautiful and the rooms are clean, all carpeted like at my mother’s house...

Breakfast is charged extra (not included in the price). My opinion is that you can find cheaper brakfast around the hotel. Not sure about the quality since I skipped it.

Excellent value for money, nicely furnished hotel. The rooms are nice, air conditioned, the bathroom is also perfect. Maybe breakfast could be improved, just to not be biased, but it’s just “teasing”. :) I recommend the place!

The accommodation was maximally okay. Clean, equipped. The housewives are kind, helpful. It is close to everything, yet in a quiet place. We had a great time! If we go there we will return.

We had a lot of fun. The apartment is well equipped, clean, close to the city center, grocery stores, in a quiet location next to the Palóc grove. If we went inside the city, we always went through the grove.

The accommodation is clean and tidy. What I had a problem with was the parking. Two cars can fit in the yard. Outside to a place, plus the sidewalk! could have stood. We arrived with two cars, as we booked a room for 6 people, so we couldn't fit six in the 5-person car... The owner was surprised by this, so we could only get in with one car, but the other still reserved a free space for those who hadn...

The guest house is in a picturesque setting. The garden is also beautiful, where it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms in the house are sophisticated and clean, but the walls are thin. Regardless, I recommend the place.

Quality accommodation at a good price

Nice looking hotel, room was spacey and clean, some places could use some touchups like the entertainment and the spa/pool areas. The bar/entertainment area closed pretty early, looked a bit messy and staff was not always attending it (we were there mid-week but hey - it's a resort). Overall we had a nice experience. The reason for the 4-star review is the food, we asked before booking on if the restaurant...
