I was only in the restaurant part, but there we got the service that we lacked in the opposite Trattoria. We wish we started with this restaurant and skip the other one…

Lenin, Stalin and Gorbachev may have slept here during the communist era, but unfortunately in 2024 this place needs a major update. The whole place is in extreme decay. Please spend some money on deep cleaning, painting of walls and new furniture.

Surprisingly good and comfy beds in the big rooms, clean room and bathroom.
Some furniture is old but there were four armchairs and a desk in the room called junior suite. The hotel is right in the middle of the city centre.
Breakfast was good but we ate out. Lot of options nearby.

The location of the hotel is the main selling point. It's right on the main square. Our room, along with most, have balconies with outstanding views of the town square. Parking garage on site. Dogs allowed, which is outstanding. Friendly service. English spoken. Breakfasy buffet included in the price. Rooms a little outdated. No amenities in the bathroom besides soap. However for the value, it's by far the best option in Kaposvar.
