Just perfect if you have an early flight! Restaurant was surprisingly good too!

Good location near to airport, aldi 5 mins walk, a restaurant nearby and reliable shuttle bus service. We had a room with a king size bed and two singles and bathroom was with Bath.

We received a very warm welcome from a professional staff, who then went the extra mile to ensure our stay was excellent. The hotel offers great value for money, as the rooms are clean and staff maintains them well every day. There is access to an iron/hair dryer etc. upon asking reception, which is open 24h a day.

Super recommended! We called for the airport shuttle service, and they came within 10min. The driver was very helpful and drove carefully. Checking in was also quick. The hotel room was very spacious and very clean. We took the shuttle back to the airport at 3am, also without any issues. All in all good price for the money!

The hotel is average. Good for sleeping one night at a reasonable price. The staff is ok. For the price charged, it’s a good value for money. Shuttle services and breakfast are also good value for money. All in all 3/5

Good convenient airport hotel, furniture is slightly older but well maintained. However airport shuttle took very long to come pick us up, had to wait 20+ mn at the airport

It is not the hotel’s fault at all but there are directions at the airport to a different “airport hotel.”  It was in a walking distance and I went there only to be told that I am at a different hotel.  It makes sense for you to ask that the airport authority change the directions to include the other hotel’s full name if you have not done so yet.

From the warm welcome by the reception team, to the comfortable rooms, nice and great value dinner and fantastic breakfast we were delighted that we chose to stay here before flying home. When we're next overnighting Budapest Airport we'll definitely be staying here.

Rapid shuttle service, but the building is old.

The hotel is great for an overnight stay close to the airport really helpful staff & great choices at breakfast. Really quiet but rooms need updating really clean.Shuttle service very reliable.

The light in the bathroom is low. The hairdryer works approx. 7 seconds and then stops. The shower corner wasn't clean clean enough. The meals in restaurant was tasty.

Hotel for few days, is there beds & bath, not bad.

It takes too long to reach the city (1 hour by public transport). The beds are horrible. Staff is not very intrested in their guests. Good shower and airco. As the rating says, it's ok.

They tried to charge me more for City Tax than stated in the booking confirmation, which needs to be paid in the Hotel localy. Other than that the Hotel was ok and what I really like, the little treats such chocolate bars and water for free in the room.

really nice and sweet staff, accidentally injured myself, hotel staff provided first aid kit and helped me find hospitals i could go to at night. when i go back to pick up the luggage after i checked out, the staff remembered my injuries and asked if i was okay. thank you for the staff here who made my trip in budapest better. breakfast is alright. there’s a fridge in the room too. close to metro...

The nowadays Hotel Chesscom has come a long way from the previous Hostel/Guesthouse to nowadays offer a highly professional Hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, strong and stable wifi. Excellent breakfast. Across the street from the 200E Bus service to the Airport. The smell from the canalisation in the bathroom is a little bit unpleasant at times.

Very convenient location for travelers that are headed to the airport. Room was clean and came with thoughtful snacks. Value for money 10/10

A wonderful hotel, above all very friendly staff. Clean rooms, large parking lot. Breakfast on the buffet table, with a wide range of savory and sweet products. Close to shopping center, airport, city, metro. Excellent price-quality ratio. We highly recommend this accommodation if you plan to visit Budapest.

Hello. In general, the hotel is not bad, friendly staff at the reception, provided all the necessary information about staying at the hotel. It was disappointing that the room was poorly cleaned, there was a bed with spots and very uncomfortable pillows (of an incomprehensible shape). We was at the hotel two days. The maid did not replace the towels. In the sauna was a towel for legs all in black...

Cheap place with good services. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. We opted to have the breakfast which was adequate, with a good selection of foods (but not as fabulous as stated on Booking). Be warned that is far away from ... well everything. You will definitely need transportation to get anywhere. The hotel parking is small and parking may be a problem in the area. Big plus for the EV drivers...

Really really nice little hotel in Budapest! Second time here..as we are stopping between Germany and Romania! Great to spend a night..after driving all day long! Good size rooms(dont need more) Good bed, really clean, and relatively close to city center! Totally recomend the place!

We need to stay in Budapest for one night to catch a plane early morning and this place was great because bus to airport is very close. The guy at reception was amazing, offer us a beer. The hotel was clean, fine and cozy. Also at the morning we get smile and water. For that price it was really great, i'll recommend this hotel to everybody.

The hotel is very nice but they charge for parking which is not something you expect. The breakfast is also extra charge but it is very good. Plently of choices including vegan and gluten free options! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were not very good.

Basically everything was good, but unfortunately the high street very noisy. All staff members very kind and friendly, helpful. Breakfast was lovely. As a recommendation it's due some renewal.

Came with a tour group, sharing with one other traveller, room + balcony allow for plenty of space. The renovated rooms have ultra modern bathrooms. The bar out back was the perfect way to end the trip. Super close to public transport, which attracts a sketch crowd at night however no issues as they have an overnight security guard

Stayed only one night for a family meeting. On check in was offered to get breakfast on discounted rate. Found a parking in front of hotel, but in case it's busy (opened public area) offered price for hotel parking is high. Bar and reception staff very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us as we used only public transports to and from the airport, the city center and the Ferencvaros training center where we played in a tournament. The rooms were nice and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was nice, the hot options slightly basic with just scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, and sausages. Was here on a group travel program. While the rooms were nice, this hotel was incredibly understaffed. My friend waited 25 minutes on a Saturday night to pay for a bottle of water at the front desk. The next morning, I tried to fill up my water bottle before a long journey at the machine in the breakfast room and was chastised by a waiter, which left a sour taste in my mouth at the end of my stay....

I was there completely randomly, with my best friend who passed away just after this trip, so this place will forever hold my last moments with him. I really enjoy behind there, Andras and his friend were really nice and helpful to us, everything was clean, the dogs also were one of the most unforgivable memories, so friendly and playful, it warmed my heart. A budget place to live in if you are travelling Budapest. Neat and clean rooms and surroundings. The owner is very friendly to guide you and always there for your help. This place is wonderful, i have paid only 22euros , expecting for a small bedroom, but i am now here with free upgrade in a super big room with toilet and a small kitchen ! The people are very nicee.

We had a good experience at this hotel, in particular we used it as our base to get to the f1 and from that perspective it suited our needs well. If you were going there purely for a holiday the location is quite remote, although for guests purely seeking wellness facilities I think that would suit them well. The hotel's design is tasteful and classy. It has a relaxing, family atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly, kind and attentive. I like that it has a nice garden and a forest near the building. The wellness is also fine and recharging. The price is a bit high but it's worth it for the experience. I'd go back anytime.

Moving another city is easy. Main Bus station is near, one subway station. Staff is kind, but cleaning the room needs to improve.

I had the pleasure of staying at Duna garden hotel, located in the heart of Hungary’s stunning natural landscape. The hotel itself is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming.

We stayed at the hotel for a night, with breakfast included. The standard rooms were fully booked (which we booked as well), so they gave us a superior suite, free of extra charge. The hotel is super nice and clean, the place is calm and quiet, the bed comfy. The breakfast was superb, not a ton of choice, but that's perfect for us, we don't like wasting food! And everything was very tasty as well....

One of the best hotels I have ever been. So friendly people and lovely lady at the front desk. She offered me a coffee and a sandwich even I did not book a breakfast. I also got an upgrade free of charge. Near by are very nice restaurants. Perfect hotel!! I will come back

Nice rooms, there are all the basic things you need but look like they haven't been renowned in a while, I wasn't thrilled about the breakfast either.

Poor wifi, basic breakfast, receptionist dont like to communicate. Some little things need to be fixed.

This now the third time returning to this hotel. Hotel is pretty decent , the rooms are tidy but a little bit small. Maybe a little complaint about the room fridge - too small and not enough strong .I guess for the price I can't really complain . We always had a very friendly receptionist which is always a good start.

Although it was a short stay, it was a comfortable hotel. Access from the city center and the airport is a bit inconvenient. You need to transfer to the subway and tram.

Super friendly staff and clean room! The bed was really comfortable and easy to access to the tram! I love to walk, so I walked to the metro station, but it was still easy to transport and safe neighborhood! There is not much surrounding, so it was pretty quiet during the night! I would love to stay again!

I was assigned a room at the very edge of the top floor. The room was very simple, like a loft. There was no heating in the room (only the bathroom had heating), and it was very cold to sleep at night. The wireless signal was very poor and could not be used normally.

We are very satisfied with our stay in the hotel. The room was very clean, neat and smells good. The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly. Parking provided in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very varied, all the food was delicious. Near the hotel there is a metro station that takes you to the city center. All in all a pleasant stay at the hotel.

Poor soundproofing, good breakfast

The price was reasonable and the place was not too far from the city center. There was no air conditioning so they turned on a big fan but it was okay as it didn't get too hot.

The hotel is 500 meters from the bus station. It is an old-fashioned hotel. The shower head is like this. I can't take a shower. I didn't eat breakfast, so I don't know if it's delicious. It's OK in Budapest.

Good A bit of old but very comfy, easy to get around with Budapest metro and trams.

We loved our stay. Yes it could do with an update but l think it adds to its charm. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, the cleaners came in every day and gave us clean towels. They even folded my son's clothes and put them in piles on the bed! Good location for everything too. Would stay here again.

This is a cheap place to stay in Budapest. The train station was only a few minutes walk away. The cost included breakfast, which was adequate. The room was not very nice, but there were enough beds for our party of 6 and there was a private bathroom. Beds were not terribly comfortable and the bathroom sink drained very slowly, but for the cost, it did the job. We spent most of our time sightseeing...

Basic hotel. A bit dated/ aged but clean and friendly staff. We booked double room with breakfast for two and total bill including tax was £80 for 4 nights. Near metro line 3 tube and 10 minutes to city centre and managed to get to all areas we were interested on M3 and M1 lines. No large shops near the hotel. Next door is a Taiwanese restaurant. Will use again.

Was good for the price even though they don't put soap and shampoo. Didn't like that old small TV and the WiFi was not very good.

This hotel is perfect. On arrival there was a lovely clean smell around. The rooms were spacious. The windows opened which I like in a hotel. We had an overhead fan too which was silent. We had a mini fridge. This worked well. The beds were comfortable and the bedding very clean . The carpets were so clean.

very mixed experience (two rooms): one small but ok, the other one very big but with problems: one safe not working (they gave support but the safe shall be changed), the tea boiler very dirty, some glasses and cups (not all) dirty, tv not working and anyway only few Hungarians channels and we had missing things from the luggage... Ok for 1 night when traveling for a concert since it's right across the arena. Pros: - location - clean sheet & towels - mini fridge - big window - good water pressure in the shower Cons: - stuffy/smelly carpet - no air conditioning - street traffic VERY loud (like... jump scare loud) - could be cheaper for what it is
