Hotel GARDENIA & Villa CHARME Adults Friendly 10Plus

This is a great hotel for a quiet stay by Lake Garda. It is easy to get into Bardolino, and it is easy to get around via bus. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and try to help you whenever. You can order cappuccino from the pool, and the team will deliver it. The team will also help you with anything they can. The room has everything you need - and fast wifi. The beds are comfortable.

We recently stayed in a 2 bed room apartment affiliated with the hotel gardenia. On arrival we were welcomed with coffees and given maps and some tips on restaurants by friendly staff. Our room was very clean (thank you to the cleaners) and smelt amazing. Lovely view from the small balcony of the lake. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to central Bardolino but it is a beautiful flat walk. There is a nice restaurant along from the hotel called l'unico but we didn't enjoy the restaurant across the road. Also less than 10 minutes walk to Cisano where there is a small square of nice restaurants. We used buses a lot so it was very helpful that the stop is only a few minutes walk. Would definitely recommend.

We had the most relaxing and lovely holiday in Hotel Gardenia with two kids. Room was really nice and clean with amazing view! Staff of the hotel was truly amazing, so friendly and helpful! ❤️ Nice breakfast and lunch. We will definetely come back!

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We visited 9 years ago following a recommendation and the hotel was as good, if not better, than we remembered, The staff are exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure that you are happy and well looked after. Special thanks to Nicola and Marta but all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are spotless and smell amazing. All the communal and pool areas are well maintained and very clean. There are 2 swimming pools with plenty of sun beds and towels are provided. You can order drinks and snacks from and to your sunbed ! Breakfast is fabulous with a great continental selection including a delicious Bircher muesli. You can order eggs anyway and omelettes too. The location of the hotel is great. A 10-15 minute walk and you’re in Bardolino. There are an excellent choice of restaurants in the town and we found them to be excellent value compared to the UK ! You can catch ferries to other locations on the lake from the marina. We hired a boat which allowed us to explore the lake in a different way. We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Gardenia and we will definitely be back !

Charming family-run hotel that we fell in love with. Generous breakfast, good sized bedroom, helpful and friendly staff. Nicky is an excellent manager who takes good care of all of his guests, nothing was too much trouble. We also dealt with Magi a lot, who was an absolute delight. Our lasting memory will be the fragrant jasmine that surrounded both pools and filled the air with a wonderful bouquet day and night.

Just back from 7 nights at this fabulous small friendly hotel . The hotel was immaculately clean and all the staff were so friendly and helpful and always happy. Our room 501 was at the top of the building and had a private balcony with 2 sun beds and a high table and 2 chairs where we could enjoy a pre dinner glass of wine . The walk into the town of Bardolino was enjoyable along the path by the lake but do be aware of the bikes . Some are electric and you can’t hear them coming . We visited many of the local towns by bus , foot and by ferry and our personal favourite was Sirmone . Tip . If you want to get the fast ferry back from here then purchase your tickets in Sirmone early . We got to the ticket booth about 45 mins before the fast ferry was due and were told the tickets had all been sold and we needed to wait for the slower ferry 1hr later. Luckily we asked one more time just as the fast ferry arrived and were told we could get on but that was pure luck and lots weren’t so lucky . Prices for food and drink are much of a muchness in most towns , approx 3.5 -4 euros for a glass of local wine , which is lovely, and around 10-14 euros for a pizza , cheaper if just a plain one . Lots of the bars bought complimentary crisps and nuts when you ordered drinks , some resteraunts added a cover charge of approx 2euros a head but no one expects a tip . The breakfast in the hotel was good, eggs could be cooked to orderand speciality coffees were available . Lovely small pool and always sun beds and towels for sun beds provided. Would highly recommend this hotel for its location , staff and cleanliness . We hope to return and explore more of this wonderful part of Italy .

The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, taking time during check-in to thoughtfully share insights about the region, including key towns, transportation options, and exciting activities to explore. The room was outstanding, with a supremely comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The shower, while compact even by European standards, was functional. Breakfast was a daily delight, with their ham and cheese eggs being a standout favorite. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short stroll from Bardolino, and ample parking added to the convenience.

Excellent Breakfast

The Hotel was excellent. Staff were brilliant always engaging and friendly both in breakfast room and reception. Staff always had a smile on their faces. Room was great and good sized with nice balcony. Shower was very good. Cleaner was excellent. Breakfast was excellent with great choices. Pool was lovely and there were always sun beds available. Drinks service around pool was a bonus. A lovely walk along the Lake into Bardolino or Cisano/Lazise. Bus stop close for buses to Garda or Malcesine. Lovely choice of restaurants in Bardolino or Cisano but also a few close to Hotel. All in all a great stay and will be returning next year.

Just had 1 week holiday in this hotel, and everything was excellent and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, and it was a great selection. Staff were very attentive and eager to help. Everything was of no trouble. Rooms are very spacious, and good lighting. Cleaning was excellent and consistently done every day. Will visit again , when in the area.
