What a beautiful and perfect hotel for our 10 night stay in Chioggia with views of the lagoon and historic buildings.
When we arrived we were informed that the room may be smaller than expected but if needed they could make some changes in the days to come. Whilst the room is slightly smaller it did not impact our stay - lots of room to move around, store our luggage and a very comfortable bed.
From the striking decor to the immaculately cleaned rooms, this hotel offers exceptional service.
As soon as you arrive you are greeted with the hotel receptionists or manager. They were helpful at all times even taking the time to assist us in renting a car and calling for a cab to the airport.
The service from all teams within the hotel has exceed all expectations.
The food was delicious and served by knowledgeable staff.
Based on all of the above, I cannot wait to make my way back to Chioggia and stay at this historic hotel.

Love this hotel! We discovered it last year, already came back last month and are coming back again this month. :) The views of the lagoon are so incredibly relaxing - all you need is two nights to feel utterly refreshed. The breakfast room is simply stunning - elegant interiors, beautiful views from the windows and balconies, delicious selection of food.
And the vaporetto stop is right outside - it's a relatively easy and seamless trip to the heart of Venice. But you don't have to even venture out that far... just cross the bridge in front of the hotel and walk down the side of the canal, for an amazing selection of canal-side dining with stunning views. Plenty of restaurants and shops on the main corso, too.

We stayed at Hotel Grande Italia for one night during a cycling tour from Venice to Florence. The hotel is located in a prime spot close to restaurants and the ferry terminal. It’s more a boutique hotel. The building itself is lovely. The room was nicely decorated but was quite tiny compared to others we’ve stayed at during the tour. Their buffet breakfast was awesome.

We booked a 10-night stay at this hotel and were initially surprised to find ourselves in a rather small room. While the limited space was a slight disappointment at first, what the room lacked in size, the hotel and its exceptional staff more than made up for — tenfold.
The property itself is modern yet stylish, perfectly situated in the heart of Chioggia. Without question, it stands out as the most impressive and beautiful hotel in the city, radiating elegance and charm at every turn.
What truly elevates this hotel — and makes it one of the finest I’ve ever experienced (having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous five-star establishments) — is the staff. From housekeeping to management, every single team member contributed to making our stay relaxing and memorable, consistently going above and beyond with warmth and genuine hospitality.
Marcello, in particular, deserves special mention. He personally arranged a rental car for our trip to Lake Garda, handling all correspondence with the company and coordinating the logistics on our behalf — a gesture that speaks volumes about the level of care offered here.
The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight, serving the best food we encountered in Chioggia. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and added to the overall excellence of the dining experience.
In summary, aside from the compact room, this hotel exceeded all expectations. I look forward to returning for another homely, comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyable stay in Italy.

Marcelo and the team were so accommodating with our queries. Mist helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, right on the piazza, but still quiet at night!
Gave us great tips on where to eat… and favorite items on the menu!! Plus tips on what to do and see.
Our room was most comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

This beautiful hotel was such a pleasure to stay at. The location is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms perfectly maintained.
We had some wonderful meals in the restaurant, and the included breakfast was so much better than most hotel breakfasts. There was such a wide variety of food, all terrific, that it was hard to choose what to eat.
I would absolutely stay at Hotel Grande Italia the next time I travel to Chioggia - it was truly lovely in all respects.

The town of Chioggia is like Venice for Italians 😁, seafood in most restaurants and at good prices compared to Venice.
Not everyone speaks much English but immerse yourself in the experience and try a few simple words goes a long way.
The hotel staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and full of character. I did not eat in the restaurant this time but previously found the food to be very good quality and guests have 10% discount.

Charming small hotel in a small working community off the beaten path. The staff were always very helpful and accommodating.
The rooms were small by USA standards but were as expected for EU standards. The mattresses noted by others are very firm and not the most comfortable. Breakfast is good with a large variety of items in a buffet format.
The community is small but has many local markets that pop up with fresh produce, meats, etc. One full day to explore the area is enough to see and explore. There is ferry boat near the hotel that transports to island to the north and then bus line to Lido and ferry over to Venice. Takes about 1.5 hours, but very economical and safe. A day pass for ATC is cheap. Taxi takes 45-60 min but costs €150 each way.
