Relais La Corte dei Papi

We had the pleasure of staying at Relais for four nights, where we were warmly welcomed by the owner, David, and his wonderful staff. They went above and beyond to help us, offering excellent recommendations and making reservations for both lunches and dinners in the area. The level of service we received was unparalleled, and we felt incredibly grateful for the kindness and hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds and breathtaking views of the rolling hills. We stayed in a charming, rustic cottage just 10 minutes from Cortona. As a thoughtful gesture, David even gifted us a bottle of their wine to enjoy on our next stop. Our experience at Relais was truly exceptional, and the hospitality was outstanding.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon around Tuscany. This hotel is a very beautiful and special place. When we arrived in from one of our previously visited cities, it was a Monday afternoon and the hotel restaurant was not open that night. Zoe helped us to reserve a table at a delicious local restaurant that was a short taxi ride away. (Definitely rent a car if you can or you will have to pay a pretty penny for the local taxis.) David the owner came to our room when we arrived with an aperitivo of some of their prosecco. The hotel grounds are well kept and very nice for sitting and enjoying the serenity of the area. We booked a cooking class with the executive chef and we handmade amazing dishes and enjoyed them for lunch as a four course meal. Greta helped translate the chef’s words to us from Italian to English the entire class and it all went very smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights and the food was superb. I ordered the fusilloni pasta two nights in a row because it was that good. The service in the restaurant was exceptional and professional as well. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked goods and the fruits were fresh and ripe. The waiters were always by our side and ready to make any hot drinks or anything else hot from the kitchen. We did use the hotel’s laundry service and our clothing was clean and nicely ironed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, always leaving our room super clean and looking untouched and closing the outside shutters at turndown. All of the staff were readily available to provide anything extra if we needed. David has done a phenomenal job in training his staff. I feel like I have more to say but this will do for now! We would love to return back one day with more friends and family to share Relais La Corte dei Papi with. Thank you all again!!

Beautiful place outside Cortona. Was there for a wedding and the place was decorated beautifully. The villa has 12 huge room and 4 smaller cottage style bldgs. The owner was on-site entire time. It's been in his family for 8 generations and his land includes a vineyard, so all the wine was from there. Our wedding rented out the entire property and everything was perfect.
We had a car which helped in getting people to trains since taxi could be scarce. Also, go to the real town up the hill. Very pretty view and awesome small village

My wife and I and some our friends went where after cruise 🛳 around Italian and Greek Islands. It was a final stay before we went home to Canada. We had amazing stay. Accommodations and location to experience Tuscany [Italy] is perfect. Villa is in the garden, excellent local food and wine, plus some historical medieval cities nearby.

We stayed for one night in the spa suite, the room and the service were impeccable as well as the comfort. The spa services were much appreciated. We also appreciated the simplicity and kindness of the management and the staff, highly recommended for those who want an exclusive stay but at the same time relaxation and a "family" and authentic atmosphere

I was in this beautiful place for a weekend and immediately fell in love with it. This magnificent, completely renovated farmhouse is a charming place for those looking for moments of relaxation and intimacy, thanks to the spa suites equipped with all the amenities and the wellness corners with a jacuzzi and a private Turkish bath. But I also recommend it for events, ceremonies and private parties, thanks to the outdoor area with a swimming pool and gazebos and the high-class restaurant. Even more positive points are the exceptional staff, always available and super-professional, and the host who made me feel at home with an exquisite welcome.

"Beautiful, well restored 18th century farmhouse, large indoor and outdoor spaces, rooms, suites with private areas for relaxation and well-being with Jacuzzi and steam baths, various rooms for receptions, dinners, etc., all with attention to the smallest details. Quiet place, beautiful green spaces and flowers, beautiful large swimming pool, various gazebos.. a wonderful place with friendly staff and always ready to help the client feel at their best." It has been 6 years since we have been going to the Papal Court to celebrate special evenings for us. Last night was one of them, so we decided to leave a review to testify to our latest gastronomic experience. This year my brother turned 50 and as usual we reserved a table, giving the owner and his staff carte blanche to organize the dinner. The building is beautiful, when you enter it seems like you are entering an oasis of peace. As always, we were greeted by the receptionist and the owner, who showed us to our table set by the pool. The dinner turned into a crescendo of dishes with strong but sublime flavors. The presentation and flavors were as impeccable as the service itself. Dining al fresco at this beautiful time of year in the tranquil countryside of Cortona was a real joy, especially after last year when the pandemic forced us to stay at home. We highly recommend this place, which we will see again soon.

Little did I know that Relais La Corte Dei Papi would always have a special little place in my heart 💕💍The views were breathtaking and the breakfast was phenomenal as was our private hotel room dinner served by David himself. Our room had such an elegant charm, it truly felt like I was living in a fairytale. You can tell David and his family have worked hard to make this place so beautiful it is truly magical. He goes above and beyond to make you feel so welcome…forever grateful to have met him and stay at his lovely home 🙏 Thank you for the wonderful memories we will be back!

We had an impromptu party of 10 requesting a reservation and the staff at La Corte de Papi were incredibly accommodating. The proprietor personally assisted us, adding a special touch to our experience. The grounds are beautiful, and the food was elegant and delicious. The service was impeccable, and we all left thoroughly impressed. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
