Hotel «Elimo»

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just called in for a drink/pastry twice during day-trips to Erice, and it’s a beautiful place; the decor and staff are charming and the views are stunning from the restaurant and the roof terrace. On my first visit I sat in the courtyard and got chatting with a lovely couple from Canada who told me the antipasti were terrific. Recommended for a quick drink on your way up the hill (sparking water €2) or an afternoon aperitif (Marsala wine & pastry €5) or a full meal, if you value quality and being treated well.

We stayed two nights in the hotel and had two breakfasts and one dinner here. All was just fine (you even get fresh scrambled eggs if you ask for them!) But what makes this place outstanding is the service - and the owner, Antonio. He's knowledgeable, personable, and so helpful. Hotel Elimo is a lovely little place, an Italian home away from home. Our room was great, with a view of the roofterrace (and the mists, which n Erice are a given. )I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The panoramic view is another highlight (never mind the mists, they clear once in a while), as were Antonio's Negrinos.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and although we opted for the most basic room, it served its purpose. The location was perfect. Antonio was the perfect host and couldn't do anything more for us. He recommended the best way to get into Trapani and gave us recommendations for dishes whilst dining in their restaurant. Breakfast was basic but pleasant. We dined in their restaurant for our first night here and the atmosphere was great, it was lively and busy, the staff were very attentive. The food was amazing we had the fish and cous cous which I would highly recommend. Wine was lovely. Over all I would recommend here as a place to stay but also to dine even if you aren't staying as we dined in other places whilst staying here and this was by far out favourite not just food wise but ambiance and experience. Wonderful hotel in central Erice. Staff were friendly, the rooms spacious and well equipped and there were amazing views from the dining area. It felt like a hotel as l imagine them to be in times gone by. Breakfast was typical for an Italian hotel, that is fairly uninspiring, however they did have gluten free options which is always welcome.

This is one of our best hotel stays ever. The location of the hotel is the best but the best part of it is the staff and management. Antonio, the owner, is simply fantastic ! He is full of advice, always available and ready to make your stay a pleasure. We loved it. Thanks Antonio !

Went there for drinks at sunset.
Prices are average, not too cheap but not so expensive.
The bar is at a great location on the roof terrace, with great view.
The staff was nice, even brought us some complimentary snacks, definitely recommend, will go next time for a proper dinner next time we end up near Erice.
