Post Alpina - Family Mountain Chalets

We had an amazing holiday in a lovely place that felt like home. The staff were extremely friendly as were Helen and Andreas, the owners. The food was extraordinary and catered for adults and children, alike. A true family hotel geared towards keeping children entertained while also being a peaceful oasis for parents. The vast majority of families we met were at their 5th of 6th visit, and that speaks volume.

We truly appreciated the personal touch of this family-owned and operated hotel. The difference was evident in the dedication and warm atmosphere created by the staff, who were professional, friendly, and relaxed. The quality of the food was remarkable—our compliments to Chef Cervo. The dishes were not only exquisitely prepared but also of outstanding quality, from the main courses to the smallest details, like the side dishes. For instance, something as seemingly simple as the Kartoffelsalat on the traditional menu was among the best we've ever had—even compared to our years of living in Germany. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of options, including freshly pressed regional apple juice. My youngest child especially loved the freshly made pancakes. In addition to the hotel's excellent facilities, one of its greatest advantages is its proximity to the ski slopes, as well as the on-site ski school and rental services." We had an amazing time at the Post Alpina this July. We traveled with our young 10 month old daughter and everything was so comfortable. The hotel has its own unique charm being in chalet style structures and surrounded by nature.

The pictures online and in various reviews give a true and fair representation of the property itself. The staff are really amazing and provided us all the support we could ask for. At breakfast they prepared fresh scrambled eggs without salt for our baby. We ended up cooking most other meals in the room kitchenette. We enjoyed the pool, the baby playroom and various walks and excursions outdoors.

We look forward to coming back!

We were in Post Alpina with four kids. The chalet was very comfortable. The pool was fun and warm enough. The game room was also fun. Parking is great because they have a garage. The staff is very wonderful. The food is really excellent, very very tasty. The offer for children always includes french fries, nuggets, pasta... What is very important to me, considering that I have a baby, is that the ski lift is only 50m from the hotel, so I could ski on my own. And the baby trail is also 50m from Alpina. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, see you next year.

Our first family experience at the Post Alpina was memorable on so many levels and left us wondering how soon could we be back. They really have it all, the kids activities and amenities, the adult spa and relaxation areas, the top quality and clean facilities not to mention the supreme location in a natural playground and lastly but most memorable for us, the FOOD! We travelled for a week with our 3 kids (3 months, 2.5 & 4.5 yrs). Worried about the load that travelling with 3 under 5 would come with we wanted something that would support us with the kids and take as much off our plate as possible so we could relax as well. The Post Alpina did not disappoint. We were able to spend with as a couple while the kids were in the kids club or get massages and relax in the spa. We looked forward to every meal as the food was divine. Carefully prepared to cater the various restrictions and always absolutely delicious with so much choice. The real key to the warm and welcoming environment at the post Alpina lies with the owners and the team. They are like a big family and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Greeted with smiles at every corner the attention to the guests is second to none. Made us feel like we were part of the family too. My children knew many of them by their names by the time we left. We highly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. Thank you to the entire Post Alpina team!

The just ended holiday was our second time in Post Alpina Family Mountain Hotel. It has been again an amazing experience in a wonderful place plenty of services and with a staff who take care of us all the time. We will come back soon! Suggested for families who like to relax, hike and get in touch with nature.

Fabulous accommodation, service, food and facilities. Right on the edge of slopes. Chalet was very nice with a jacuzzi. Pool and outdoor sauna lovely. Only drawback was it opened at 4pm which was a little late. Very hard to get a massage as all booked up (they didn’t have enough staff?!). Can’t stream to TV which wasn’t a big deal. Overall was very impressed. BTW - you must try the pizza restaurant at Helm Hotel - awesome and only 10 mins walk away. Buses to San Candido free and reliable.
