Hotel Terme Zi Carmela

Very rude service from the workers in the hotel.
The location is great but if the experience in the hotel is important for you I'm highly recommend to go to another place.
We stay here for two days and got very disappointed.

The hotel has a nice thermal pool, which could be more curated. On Fridays they top up the perfumed pool disinfectant, so better to avoid it that day - you will witness a collective sneezing. The hotel is close to the main road and bus stop. Unfortunately that means that the room is quite noisy, even with the window closed. The curtain is thin and let a lot of light in. We complained about the loose toilet seat but nothing was done about it. The room is cleaned daily and fresh towels are always provided by the friendly and helpful cleaning lady Liuda. Unfortunately the fridge leaks, leaving a brown residue. The food is pretentious, you would not go back, if it was a restaurant. The table service is chaotic, with 6 salt for over 40 tables: asking for salt or pepper is problematic, especially because the veg side dish is not seasoned and everyone wants them. Tonight our meal was cold, they forgot the potatoes and the waiters were not in sight for the whole duration of the meal. We decided to eat our meat cold. Considering the price, it does not stand up to the other hotels in the area. My vote is overall low because to me the minimum requirement of an hotel is food (well below average) and sleep (noisy and bright) and without a good night sleep you wouldn't want to go anywhere, no matter how close the bus stop (very close). I added a few photos to show that while the place stand up to a positive first glance, it is a bit shabby at a second - like an unloved placed where there is no overall attentive management.

After posting this review, they fixed the fridge and offered to fix the toilet seat, unfortunately it was the last day of our stay, so a bit too late

The lobby, the restaurant and the swimming pool area (small in size) are very nice and well furnished. The location is very central and within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Surely there are also the rooms that can be seen in the photos of the hotel but they are certainly not the double standards since the one assigned to us was really dated. There were no sockets near the bed and in order to charge the mobile phones and electronic devices they had we had to unplug the wall socket which was connected to a kind of push-button panel .. even behind the TV there was only one socket where through a further multi-outlet was already connected to the same and the mini-bar. In the bathroom the only outlet was that of the hairdryer (always with shuko adapt) I state that we had booked a night at another not so central structure because we only needed a place to sleep but that had a convenient parking since we travel in Motorcycle. For the few reservations they diverted us to this property and we agreed after the person who called us assured us that there would be no problem with parking. Unfortunately, both on arrival and on departure they were not organized due to the excessive presence of scooters and the limited space available. Among other things, as happens in almost all hotels, if you park cars or motorbikes in a double row, the keys must be left at the reception in order to be moved if necessary. Unfortunately this made us uncomfortable, perceiving as if it were us and our vehicle the problem ... Beyond this the reception staff was kind. The good breakfast, more sweet than salty. I was sorry to hear the meter taking the guy serving at the buffet in front of us guests, it should be done discreetly.

The pictures are so much better than reality. However the position is good for the nearby areas
