Hotel Ristorante Radar

Is an amazing place to rest and stay. The only disadvantage is that is no fridge or minibar or something to keep a bottle of water fresh. Can be brought from the restaurant but if you come late,there is nobody there.

If you want to experience true Italian hospitality, visit this family-run hotel. The view is amazing, one side you can see the whole of Carrara town and when you look the other way, you can see the beautiful marble mountains, which are about 30 minutes drive from the hotel if you want to visit the caves (which I recommend).
The hotel itself is very beautiful as well, rooms are equipped with samsung smart frames (tv), powerful ACs and bidets. Very clean rooms.
The owner is a very sweet and knowledgeable woman who is really involved in the business, speaks english very well and will do everything she can to make your stay as wonderful as possible.
Dinners are very fine-dining, focused more on seafood, but also stuff like truffle ravioli (which were absolutely delicious) or steaks/burgers. The Chef knows what he is doing and for this price you will not find more fancy food. Very good and fresh.
Other than that, all members of the staff are capable and willing to help you in any way they can.
The only downside to this hotel are the roads leading to it - with a bigger car you will probably have a hard time, as some parts of the road are very thin and can fit just one car, so meeting another car on them is a nightmare. The reward for it is worth it though. Another thing is some days a poor wi-fi signal.
The location is also very convenient, as it is kind of in the middle between the mountains, the beach (very clean sea), superstore and the railway. There's also hiking trails starting just a few meters from the hotel, which is also great.
Overall, very nice hotel, hoping to visit again!

This hotel saved my holiday. I could not find any place in La Spezia, so I booked here for two nights. It exceeded my expectation: clean room, beautiful view over the coast, very kind staff. The only thing is the road to reach it, narrow and with some turning. Not the ideal place to visit 5 terre, instead, ideal for visiting Carrara quarries, Carrara town and Massa. Also for the sea.

Amazing view from the terrace of the hotel. Very clean rooms. Nice, friendly and polite staff. Top feature is the restaurant with its great food and big meals. The road is very narrow but the views are great.
