I really loved that hotel, it’s in the city center, close to everything. The staff was polite and helpful. The building was a bit neglected, but I get that during the period of COVID the hotels are struggling to survive. I thing it’s a great choice if you visit Messina!!

Beautiful hotel room which basically is a 1 bedroom apartment. It was extremely neat and clean. The balcony had nice views looking out to the mountains and was pretty picturesque. However, it is not worth 5 stars because the TV and wifi didn't work (I personally really didn't care) and there were small holes and cracks in the walls. The owner was really nice too and most likely would have changed my room is I had asked but again I didn't really care.
The neighborhood is also full of African / Muslim refugees which I didn't like, but in all Italian cities I've been to in the past month this is now the new norm for areas around train stations.
Btw it's highly advised that you know Italian or the Sicilian dialect in Messina because no shop owner or other person I've encountered there knows any English and pointing to what you want won't help you entirely.

Very well located close to university, tribunal, Duomo and all other central locations. There are many nice restaurents and fast food places nearby. The rooms are spacious and clean. The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable. There is luggage storage service. The breakfast was tasty and wholesome.

Accommodation that's built like a studio apartment with amenities for cooking and a dining table.
Where I stayed the room came with a balcony and the room was well lit with natural light from the massive glass paneled doors/windows.
