Our stay at Palazzo Seneca was spur of the moment, and, wow, are we glad that we made that decision! Incredible hotel in Norcia, minutes away from some of the most beautiful scenery Italy has to offer. The rooms were fantastic; and shout out to MoMo, who is such a friendly, hospitable member of the staff. He really elevated our experience with suggestions around the area, general conversation, and level of service.

Lovely hotel with the best breakfast! Comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff! Lovely spa with sauna, whirlpool and stream room. An amazing place to relax!

Beautiful hotel with very polite staff full of smiles. The town is still recovering from the awful earthquakes, which is why we decided to visit and offer a little bit of tourism. This comes with some expected downsides that didn’t bother us, such as a power outage one night and construction noise in the morning. But this is understandable. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast was excellent and Mr Mohammed (aka Mo Mo) was very welcoming and quickly became a friend to our four year old son. He even made a little origami bird for him, which our son still has with him four days later. This added a special touch which distinguished this stay from the numerous ones we’ve had on our long family road trip. Thank you to the Palazzo Seneca and all its staff for a wonderful stay! I urge readers to pay a visit to this wonderful little town and lend them a little support in their efforts to recover from the terrible natural disaster that they, and others in the region, faced. They deserve it!

Beautiful hotel with fabulous staff. One of my favourite places to stay in the whole world. Superb restaurant. Amazing scenery and walking in the nearby Monti Sibillini.

Lovely hotel but some aspects of the service were a real let down. Room service took 20 mins, only one set of towels were provided - finally being brought at 7pm after they were needed and there was some 'confusion' as to whether our open bottle of wine had been kept overnight and we ended up paying for more than we felt was correct.
We ate at the Enoteca nearby, not realising at the time it was owned by same group as the hotel. We ordered wine by the glass and complained that it tasted watery. The waiter brought an unopened bottle and poured from that and the wine was fine and very different so quite possibly the first glasses were watered down...

Does anyone know if the hotel is open again after the earthquake? Emailed them multiple times to check that our June reservation is still good, but have received no response...Thanks!

What a Joy!!! This hotel goes above and beyond to create an ideal experience. The town of Norcia was devastated in 2016 by an earthquake yet the people here are rebuilding and they celebrate life. This exquisite hotel is a central part of the community. A trip here is one of renewal and hope, plus luxury and tranquillity. Be sure to book at table at Vespasia, their Michelin restaurant, and go for the whole tasting menu. It is superb. I travel the world dining in the finest, and none tops this. Everything is top notch.

The architecture was interesting internally , lots of winding passages making the most of an ancient building. I've wondered what damage might have been caused by the earthquake of 2016. There was no trace when I stayed, particularly as most of the surrounding buildings were sadly in ruins. Hope that Norcia will again be a thriving tourist destination.

This was our favorite Relais & Chateax we have stayed in. We stayed for 7 marvelous nights and will definitely return. Their hospitality was unparalelled and the hotel itself was perfectly appointed for enjoying the tranquility of the room, the spa and all of the common areas. The restaurant was amazing (having a Michelin star breakfast buffet was a delight each morning) and its staff were incredibly welcoming. In fact the staff in the entire hotel were some of the kindest and most competent people we have encountered. We are very much looking forward to seeing them again soon!
