I've stayed many times at Maja Hotel and I love it! Very nice and clean rooms, nice staff and good breakfast. The view of the sea is great from any room. Only downside is that the location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can walk this distance on the beach, so it's all worth it.

This could easily have been a 5/5 but for a few small things that were inconvenient. Staff are amazing 5/5. Breakfast was amazing - (best hotel breakfast I've had in the past 5 countries/14 cities) 5/5. Room was dated, no outlets near the bed, wifi internet barely worked and would stall every 20 minutes. Very frustrating. The room was clean but dated and the shower head was terrible 3/5. Dinner was just ok; I wish there were more options but portions are generous 3.5/5. Overall, I would happily go back but would hope they updated the internet, showers and added outlets for convenience.

The biggest highlight of this hotel is the location. Rooms are kept clean and the towels changed on a daily basis, but apart from that very old and used. There is only one socket to plug in your device, minibar fridge is not fridging and when I wanted to close the doors between room and room corridor, the door handle stayed in my hand. Breakfast is very average. The 4 stars this hotel claims to have are probably from the 80s, definitely not up to the standard of 21st century. Wouldn’t come here again.

Amazing how team members can really make you love the property. Sweetest Fabiana and Erica, I will tell everyone about this hotel as you made my stay and made me feel cared and understood.

Amazing
Great personal from the reception till Elena that even she was leaving the hotel still took her time to serve me one last drink making me feel so welcome. Clean and tide I could pay much more for this. Close to downtown and right by the beach. Big thank you!!!! For everyone there, even the "Daytona " gentleman (probably the owner) that was really friendly and knows to motivate his staff. Sometimes is not about the place or the room,,,,, is about the people that make the difference....

Wonderful location with own beach,
Amazing Staff make the stay enjoyable,
Excellent Lunch and dinner, but standard breakfast,
Very clean room and comfortable bed,
But, Airco was out, Bar Not open the whole day, at Beach Bar they speak only Italian …

Facilities in the room were rather dated.
The worst part was the breakfast - sure plenty to choose from, but no self-service - you have to point at what you want and the waiting staff will put it for you! Why? Where's the logic behind it? Let me grab what I want. It's quicker that way.
At least they had bananas, though. Those I took for the road.

I am travelling from Australia, and this is not a 4* hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Rooms are very dated and basic and have none of the facilities you'd expect in a 4* establishment.
2* hotel, yes. 4*, absolutely not.

Hotel is something out of the 80s. We had a recently renovated room which made the stay a little more bearable.
They periodically turn the AC off at night, during the day and morning for hours at a time for “cleaning and disinfecting”. This is none sense and after repeatedly asking for them to turn it back on (they reluctantly comply when you confront them at reception) we strongly suspect they’re doing this to save money on energy. This is not acceptable for paying guests when outside temperatures are in the high twenties.
Breakfast is the worst I’ve seen for an alleged 4*. No irons anywhere in the hotel, no women’s sanitary items, no hospitality from reception staff.
Would not recommend and certainly will not return.
