Camping Bella Italia

This is our family's second year here in Bella Italia and we certainly were not disappointed, yes the weather could of been better but the place and location is fantastic that we never let the weather dampen our fun. We travelled with 2 young kids 4 and 6 and the highlight of our week was always the mini disco. Georgia and the rest of the animation team are literally AMAZING!!! So much fun and kindness every night and the kids are already practising their dance moves for the new songs for next year! Thank you so much to Georgia and the animation team you really are fantastic at your jobs and I have to admit it was my guilty pleasure every night dancing away to the songs 🤣 can't wait to see you all next year and thank you all so much for beautiful memories for our family ❤️

This is a very big campsite with multiple holiday companies offering multiple options when it comes to accommodation so I am not going to comment on this side of things as I cannot speak for all of these. I can however say that our two week stay in September was fantastic. The site entertainment and facilities are first class, the take aways and bars are reasonably priced and delicious. We sampled two of the five (that's right FIVE!) restaurants and they were both very good. The location by the lake is amazing, every evening the whole place is buzzing with activity and as a family of 5 we had a truly amazing time. The only negatives are due to the size of the place it can get busy at times (30 min queue in the morning to get fresh bread and pastries for example) but this in no way reflected negatively in our overall experience.

The location is the best thing about the site. You are right on the lake and only a short walk from many shops and restaurants in Peschiera.

The swimming pools are great for kids and the on site stores have everything you'll need during your stay. Yes sun loungers are in short supply but if you get there early or wait around a short while it's not too difficult to get them.

The accommodation is very basic. We stayed in one of the "Comfort" level accommodations and it was very cramped for a family of 6. Extra pillows would have helped as it's impractical to bring them unless you've driven. There was one roll of toilet paper provided which was of a quality I'd expect to see in a prison. They do provide a welcome pack but there isn't much in it so expect to have to do a shop early in your stay if you haven't brought toiletries.

If you're a family of more than 4 I would advise paying more to stay in one of the "Ultimate" level accommodations which I would hope are more comfortable.

The staff were helpful and friendly enough and the on-site restaurants were of a good standard and fairly priced. We particularly enjoyed eating at the "Terraza" restaurant with its lovely views of the lake.

If you're hoping to get around the lake I would suggest hiring a car. Taxis can quickly become expensive and the local bus services are woefully poor. Buses are infrequent and often late if they turn up at all.

In summary not a perfect location but good value and we had a lovely family holiday with this as our base.

We spent a week here during the summer holidays and had a fantastic time. We drove from Calais and formed part of our European road trip. The kids loved the pools, especially the slides, and the lake. The restaurant onsite is fantastic and very well priced. On-site shop and bakery had a good selection and again well priced. Be aware of the street sellers waiting outside the gates by the lake. They pounce on you the second you walk through the gates. Luckily there are security on the gates and they try to keep the sellers at bay.

Well situated with all-you-need within the campsite. Bars, restaurants, market, etc. Many swimming pools with enough space for all the guests. Lots of fun places for children so they won't get bored. No problems with parking your car.

Perfect location on the lake, food was very good in the restaurants and quick service. Our 4 year old loved the parks, pools, arcade, fake beach, fair with rides and the little train. We would definitely go back!booked package with jet2 for a bungalow which was clean and the air con very good
