Hotel «Chiaia Di Luna»

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my damn life. My wife, her parents and I were going on a trip to this hotel but had to cancel due to a health emergency. We were charged full price regardless.

My wife then tried to call their financial department repeatedly, but they never answered the phone or were 'too busy' to talk to her. Then she tried to send them an e-mail to which she received a nasty response e-mail, claiming (strangely) that they didn't know who she was, but also that they had tried to call her repeatedly and that she had not cancelled the booking. Which makes no damned sense, because we cancelled the booking and how could they not know who we are, if they tried to call us repeatedly and knew we had a booking? Conflicting lies that's what, because they never called us.

They've just lied to us up and down, doing everything they can to not have even a conversation about the money they charged us for. I cannot remember last time I've been this neglected and insulted by staff belonging to any business in any country. Absolutely disrespectful.

Ok Hotel, but Guest from Italy
are getting treated much better in every aspect, which is really disturbing. Even though the stuff is not much educated, this doesn’t qualify as an excuse. Our pasta dish was served with hairs on the plate, the waiter didn’t even respond to the hint … just cleared the table. At the Reception you might be lucky with the elderly girl, who is very kind and attentive, others just send you away with a standard phrase. Breakfast is OK, the atmosphere rather business like.
Room old fashioned but always very clean.
Even though hotel location is nice, the overall situation is not convincing, like the dirty pool surroundings (rubbish, dirty plates, no umbrellas, just a few deck chairs in the shadow is unbearable.)
It seems like nobody really cares and that remains as the main Impression of the place. Might be different for guests from Italy. From us, unfortunately no recommendation.

really disapointed from this hotel. we had 5 nights there.
the view is amazing, but even without beeing guest in the hotel, you can enjoy the view on a platform

1 star is for the cleaning people & driver: the hotel inside and outside was cleaned, the driver at time and friendly (good service)
1 star for the good breakfast. you find everything you would like to have
BUT!
the room we had smelled bad, like humidity & moldy. thinking maybe if we just open windows, will be better, but no
after 2 days it was not gone
... then, painting fall of from the top of the wall in the night. we made the receptionists notify this.
we had first the proposition they would paint again & clean. and then what? be in paint smell?. after we decided or to ask for a room we payed for or we would have left. finally we could change in a room without bad smell.
fourniture was in both rooms old & used. all in all its not value the price /night

the service people in the restaurant seem not trained for this. and would need be formed and not be bluffed by the collegues in front of all guests by bad comments on their work.
the food in the restaurant was ok. but also here we found much better in the island.

the lounge bar next to the hotel is really loud! sitting in the restaurant from the hotel 1 evening, we heared 3 different music. Restaurant, Lounge bar & view platform. why!? too much and not relaxing.
you can even not relax on the rooms terrace and listen for the sea sound. all time somewhere music!
the guests from the lounge bar have been really loud and unappetizing when sittimg eat in the restaurant and the drunken people go pee in the trees of the hotels just in the view of the restaurants guests.

we did not felt welcomed. the hotel staff dont great the guests by passing.
it seems to be a big problem of intern comunication and structure of how to behave to give a good image for the hotel. what should be even a minimum!
the staff seem to give their best but as guest you feel that something is wrong...

we are not people to speak all bad but with a certain price, there should be much more service!
some tipps:
welcome drinks for arriving guests
1 bottle of water for every guests /day even not all included.
good management and training for the service in restaurant.

its not all about money. but in makimg customers happy by the minimum of what he pay for and even surprise by small extras.
