Hotel «Chiaia Di Luna»

really disapointed from this hotel. we had 5 nights there.
the view is amazing, but even without beeing guest in the hotel, you can enjoy the view on a platform

1 star is for the cleaning people & driver: the hotel inside and outside was cleaned, the driver at time and friendly (good service)
1 star for the good breakfast. you find everything you would like to have
BUT!
the room we had smelled bad, like humidity & moldy. thinking maybe if we just open windows, will be better, but no
after 2 days it was not gone
... then, painting fall of from the top of the wall in the night. we made the receptionists notify this.
we had first the proposition they would paint again & clean. and then what? be in paint smell?. after we decided or to ask for a room we payed for or we would have left. finally we could change in a room without bad smell.
fourniture was in both rooms old & used. all in all its not value the price /night

the service people in the restaurant seem not trained for this. and would need be formed and not be bluffed by the collegues in front of all guests by bad comments on their work.
the food in the restaurant was ok. but also here we found much better in the island.

the lounge bar next to the hotel is really loud! sitting in the restaurant from the hotel 1 evening, we heared 3 different music. Restaurant, Lounge bar & view platform. why!? too much and not relaxing.
you can even not relax on the rooms terrace and listen for the sea sound. all time somewhere music!
the guests from the lounge bar have been really loud and unappetizing when sittimg eat in the restaurant and the drunken people go pee in the trees of the hotels just in the view of the restaurants guests.

we did not felt welcomed. the hotel staff dont great the guests by passing.
it seems to be a big problem of intern comunication and structure of how to behave to give a good image for the hotel. what should be even a minimum!
the staff seem to give their best but as guest you feel that something is wrong...

we are not people to speak all bad but with a certain price, there should be much more service!
some tipps:
welcome drinks for arriving guests
1 bottle of water for every guests /day even not all included.
good management and training for the service in restaurant.

its not all about money. but in makimg customers happy by the minimum of what he pay for and even surprise by small extras.

4-star hotel prices for small 3-star rooms with basic fittings. The seawater pool is very nice but ambient music is quite loud all day.
I asked them to turn it down but they refused. In 2021 people have headphones if they want to listen to music!
Again there is a noise problem in the evening, when this place can't decide if it wants to be a disco or a hotel. Our seaview room had very loud Italian disco music belting out just in front of the window until midnight, making it impossible to stay in our room in the evening. The terrace is even worse because the disco music gets mixed with the same ambient music as above.
The food is as good as you'd normally expect in Italy. The view is beautiful but you have to go to the discotheque area to see it properly. We stayed here for four days. Ponza is an exceptional place, but I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
