Hotel TEA -

A four-star hotel that doesn't have anything in common with this category, not even the price, which is actually slightly lower than those standards. It could have the highest rating with 2 or 3 stars. The room is very dated (broken walls, pre-war windows, non-functioning shower head). Breakfast is only Italian, but very varied, except for those with allergies, where there's only one option, but that's only available upon specific request.
Location: 50 meters from the sea, but in Praia, the sea is better and the amenities are elsewhere. Closer to Dino Island.

The hotel has an excellent central location and the lobby looks very good. However, most of the rooms are dated, from the 60s, it has no parking included, a savory breakfast with fruit for a fee, no swimming pool and is evidently let go.
1. If you ask the hotel for information, the staff will refer you to their website, inviting you to make the reservation yourself. In this way, however, it is easy to make mistakes and not understand the difference in quality between the rooms and be disappointed upon arrival.
2. The first floor is completely renovated and the rooms are De Luxe with marble finishes, the second with redone floors and bathrooms, they are superior (I saw it because my friend took it), the third and fourth are economy with 60s bathrooms, same furniture. From the small photos on the site when choosing the room it is not easy to understand the difference and when I called before booking they did not underline the large difference between the rooms, so you may find yourself booking rooms on the third and fourth floors which are from the old 2 stars, only the second one is a good three stars.
3. My room, already 1960s old, had a broken floor, a broken sliding shower door, a blocked sink, old and stained taps, worn and stained sheets. I pointed out that the extreme age of the room was not evident from the photos on the site (in particular the bathroom) and I asked for an upgrade but there was no possibility (the hotel was full), they offered me to go to another hotel of the same property, but asking me for a supplement higher than the difference between what I had already paid and the declared cost of the superior room. In any case, no one came to try to fix the reported shower door. The Wi-Fi on my floor didn't work and my phone had no reception.
4. The staff at reception and cleaning are very smiling, breakfast has a choice of desserts, there are tarts, croissants, fried donuts and mini muffins, a few cereals, the staff in the dining room are very approachable, but often we are not there understands.
5. The price paid for a double room, 160 euros per night, in my opinion is not in line with the quality of the room, with the services offered and with the overall typology of the hotel.
