It is a few minutes walk to the station if taking the Bernina express, but the the room we had is by the road so it’s quite noisy. The room is large but we chose the largest room in the hotel, and the hair dryer is difficult to use, stops after around 30 seconds

Duration: Booked 2 superior double rooms for 1 night.
Rooms: Spacious, clean & well equipped. Plenty of natural light. Thoughtfully decorated.
Location: Excellent. Well placed for walks, bars & restaurants. Just around the corner for Bernina Express & Tirano Regional Trains.
Staff: All staff were pleasant & the Receptionists were always on hand to provide local information.
Food: Good selection of items for Breakfast. Adequate for our needs.
Overall: Good value. Will certainly return for longer stay. Thank you.

This hotel is a great location for the Bernina Express Terminal and booking office. The mainline Tirano station is also handy.
The hotel itself appears to have had some of the rooms refurbished. Unfortunately, ours wasn't one of them. The room allotted to us (108) was in need of a make over, in particular the bathroom which was not only unbelievably small, but the shower had hardly any water coming out. The beds were reasonably comfortable but for some unknown reason, there was an extra single divan in the room making it difficult to work around. There is also no air conditioning unit in the room. On a positive the staff were very friendly and breakfast was very good.

Good hotel. Very Near the bus and train station. Clean and the staffs are nice...

Staff are friendly, breakfast good and location practical, but the room was a desaster. No soundproof at all, so one wakes up to traffic noises and conversations two rooms down. The floor was sticky and dirty. In the bathroom, the floor was still stained by a fallen-over toilet brush. All in all, the hotel itself looks nice, but the room was terrible.

Not my favorite hotel of our trip. Beds have no padding and its like sleeping on metal wires. Pillows are all down and suck. Rooms were cleanish, with dirt and some mildew in the showers. Its located a block and a half from the train station which makes it convenient in a pinch.

Entrance/lobby nice and clean, in contrast to the room(s). Strange smell and kinda dirty bathroom. Restaurant/food okay, not very much. Personell mostly friendly.

Seems the hotel got refurbished not so long ago, as the interior is quite modern. Bath- and bedroom were clean, all equipment, furnishing and installations are in sound condition. Staff is friendly & helpful; breakfast is good but nothing special, just a basic buffet. Very good situation of the hotel, though - max 5 minutes' walk to the train station, and max 10 into the lovely old town. Imho an absolutely good choice for an overnight stay.

Ignore the notes about there being no check-in at this place! It was an ideal place for us to stay, an easy walk from the train, take the public train by the way, it is expensive enough and drives the same route as the Bernina Express. The room was not as nice as the one in the picture but clean and functional, very small bathroom. Great breakfast, a lot of nice places to eat around for a reasonable price. It was super windy when we were there so we opened the windows but closed the shutters most of the way to prevent the windows from slamming closed in the middle of the night.

Little sound proofing between rooms. Mattress needed to be replaced- could be the metal coils.
