Airone Wellness Hotel

Our air conditioning did not work and we spoke to the staff repeatedly and they said they would fix it and they did not. It turned off every two hours in the evening and night and we had to turn it back on so we did not sleep the two nights we were there because we woke up hot and sweaty with our children.

We were hiking Etna the next day, so unfortunately, we were very tired the next day.

They also did not inform us there was an event that closed the pool, which was one of the major reasons we came to this hotel so that was inconvenient.

Since leaving, we have asked them to remedy the air conditioning situation for possible refund of some kind and they have refused.

Our parents also slept in another room at the hotel and had the similar type of air-conditioning situation so if you want air-conditioning, I would not go to this hotel. It was not limited to one room. It seems to save energy. They turn the air conditioning off every two hours.

One other weird note is that all of the pools in the spa are cold. It looks like it a hot tub but it’s cold and the fancy fountain things they have that look like they should be in the spa are all cold water which is very confusing and unexpected. We asked about this and they said they are never warm, which is weird to us. At least understand that’s the way it’s going to be.

I agree with another reviewer that says this isn’t very spa like or relaxing. I wanted to like this hotel but you will likely be disappointed with your stay.

This hotel is all about cashing in money and nothing about hospitality!

We’ve booked a room to stay with our kids using the indoor pool and on arrival they tell you that kids under 5 cannot access the pool, please note, none of this is written within the booking description!

We checked out immediately and not even a refund apart from the extra driving due to its remote location! A complete joke shame on you! This is not hospitality!

Coming from someone who runs multiple hospitality businesses!

The only nice thing here is the pool : pretty, big and beautiful view (but closing at 7pm).
Rooms are basic.
The staff is rather unpleasant and very not competent.
They forgot to give us back one of the identity card when we checked out and did not call us when they found out, telling us they have too many clients to call each one of them if something like this happens. They offered for us to pay 350€ to have it delivered so we drove 6h to come get it.
They did not warn us upon arrival to book their restaurant (Sunday evening) so they gave us a brochure to get pizza delivered to the hotel.
The wifi was broken and they were waiting for it to get fixed so no internet.
And they still managed to charge us for the swim cap you need for the spa.
