Loved the location, scenery, mini zoo, a walk down the river. Room had everything we needed. Spacious kitchen area for guests to use. Kids loved the outdoors, magnificent view while grilling and chilling for parents.

Excellent, very quiet place. Fresh air, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast - just a dream! The Breakfast room is small touching history Museum. Very comfortable, clean rooms, great beds. Very cute girl clerk. Better to warn her in advance about your time of arrival. It is said that when a lot of people, it gets noisy, but we were there alone for the entire hotel so we were fine.

The rooms are great. Great Breakfast!!! Silence around. However, I heard that when all the numbers are busy, it is noisy because you can hear the neighbors. But we was the only ones there, so we were fine. Very scenic location for walks and Cycling trips. Near the river Gauja. A magical place.

Nice place in the forest and just on the river bank. Very helpful and kind owners who found a place for us even it was an evening and the camping was full. Nonetheless I recommend to book before as it's a crowded place especially in the weekends.

This campsite is a really beautiful place in harmony with nature. The pitches are equipped with a hammock, grill, fireplace, firewood electricity and a roofed table. Unfortunatetely our stay of two days was very rainy. Anyway we decided to do the offered 15km canoe tour, to get in physical contact with the great riverscape. A beautiful spot in the middle of the Gauja national Park. Comfortable little houses with very clean common bathrooms. Enchanting picnic area by the river with the possibility to use the hot tub right on the shore. A great traditional Latvian black sauna is also available and it's highly recommend. Linda can also organize a fantastic kayak excursion. Definitely a great place to spend a weekend.

Cute looking hotel, but in the middle of nowhere, not even food deliveries deliver there. Could by my fault to not check where the location is beforehand. Anyway, the piece was very nice. But if you scared from forests in the night, think twice about booking this hotel. Room was first 18°C, after telling the girls on the reception, the radiator was turned on. Then, it was either 30°C or 18°C, not able...

We stayed in the separate house Annmarie, it was a great opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of a country house. The host was very kind and hospitable. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, allowing you to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a magnificent apple orchard in the area.

Amazing place, with an amazing host! The charming large country estate is placed in amazing nature, with a small stream running right underneath the house! A beautiful pond is available for swimming, and sauna and indoor pool is available as well.

Very friendly host! Beautiful grounds complete with a walking path and swimming pond. There is a volleyball net, basketball and football field. Plenty of activities inside and out to enjoy. A real lovely place!

Nice remote location. Bees speak to you in the morning. At night you can cook on a beautiful fire and hear the forest. Making love on the bed left a wound on my back, matress might need to be changed.

We were passing by for a short time. The place is beautifully cleaned. I don't even know which category to put the swimming pool or the pond near the sauna, it was with green colored water and you wouldn't want to rinse off after the sauna. If you are a large company and plan to actively relax all night, then this is not the place. place for grill.

Pictures are great, but you need to clean the place yourself. Toilet is outside and its whitout water. And smells like these toilets usually do 😊 Place is next to a open gravel mine, quarry, with excavators and huge trucks and a highway. In our house, fireplace\chimney looks really good, but it does not work.. At all! Got relly smokey inside 😁 I dont recommend to drink the water from the sink and shower...

Really great stay here! Location wise perfect if you want to explore the Gauja national park, not far from Riga, Sigulda or Cesis. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different and off the beaten track this is it. Fire pit, BBQ, sauna and rocking chairs to look out over the lake- just perfect. Our host was lovely, very attentive. I would come back and stay!

Villa Santa is greatly located. Location in the middle of the forest. Feels like a real forest home vibe, but you still stay in the city of Cesis. We stayed at Villa Santa place for 1 night with a friend's little doggy. They allowed us, but my shock was even though we paid extra for our four-legged friend, they did not even offer a dog bowl for water. Secondly, my disappointment was with the spa....

Cosy, calm, real close to the city center and yet feels so far away from all the noise. Almost all of the greatest Sigulda must visit places are fast to reach from here. In fact, in summer, you can easely have a barbeque at the place and listen concerts happening in the city concert stadium! Dogs are cute and the sauna is amazing!

We visited the studio in February. The location is very good, very close to the park and from walking distance from the centre and train station. The warm water was broken for one evening because of the cold weather. After communicating with the owner it was fixed as soon as possible. The hospitality was very great and atmosphere almost too good. Loved our visit and recommend it to everybody.

Very nice place. Everything is so clean and cozy. There is a sauna which was immediately offered to light. It was a great tub. The host is responsive. Thank him for that. The pond was immediately near the cottage where we stayed and the depth was 1.75 m. The children were in the beam. I definitely recommend relaxing with family and friends.

The guy has an attitude. i think he has mistaken who needs who for his business to be successful. The place is amazing with little houses, parties, for kids, BBQ, sauna, swim, volleyball, and in very handy location.

We switched to this hotel last minute as our previous hotel was very loud. This was a choice we were very happy with in the end. The rooms are simple but quite and comfortable and the staff was incredibly nice. We were very happy with this choice and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this town.

Rating only for the diner. The place is nice and pleasent to sit in, located in a quite butiful part of the town. The food is less than good. Dishes are too dry, not much flavor.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is very central and there's a parking lot nearby. As a customer you get 20% off at the restaurant next door. The rooms are very nice, but under the roof. It was quite warm, even at night.

The girl at the reception was very friendly and informative about the things you can do in town. Nice and clean place in the middle of a small park. Location is great. Close to train station and very close to some local places for dinner or drink.

the room was nice. the bed was comfy. I came during the quiet season, so I dont know about noise during other seasons. there is a heater inside the room. electric kettle - by request. bear in mind there is no elevator for humam use only for the luggage.

Stayed with family for a night. Clean and spacious. No fridge in the room. Extra bed was quite alright. Spa could be included in the price. Breakfast was decent. Little funny (like dead mouse or something) smell in the room I did not enjoy. Probably needs better ventilation considering it is an old building. Generally I enjoyed my stay!

Although the hotel is not new, public spaces are clean, spacious, beautiful. Rooms could be renovated, though. Service was amazing, both in reception and in SPA. SPA consists of one pool and a jacuzzi, 2 saunas. Cost 15eur per adult. Breakfast was fresh, but minimal. Location is definitely the best feature.

Very clean and tidy, spacious room and bathroom. There's soap, and shampoo, wifi and parking, also basketball court outside. The fridge is shared with others and there's no stove or microwave, the walls are thin, bed was squeaky. Also had trouble closing shower doors.

The place is well organized and tidy. The host is very proud and overbearing. Wall sockets are hidden, Wifi is off during the night. Walls are thin, water pressure is shot(also the pipes make a LOT of noise). No breakfast. Good value if you're not interested in sleeping or not disturbed by passive-aggressive hosts.

Hotel was in great location. Restaurants and shops were within 1km radius. Garden was very beautiful and taken care of. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds comfortable and there were free wifi. Kitchen, bathroom and toilets were for sharing. Host was very friendly and nice. There were also cooking and BBQ option. We all left there satisfied with our visit.

Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Room and corridor are decorated in medieval style. Bed comfortable, in the room you will find small things suitable for everyday needs from brush for shoes to electrical kettle. Was happy to stay.

Decent prices for a great location, very central very close to the train/bus station! Fast and easy self-check-in and the staff were very accommodating, allowing me to check in earlier when the room was ready when I contacted them in advance! The room is quite well equipped, having a mini fridge, kettle and some cups and tea, as well as plates and cutlery conveniently enough! Also comes with shampoo...

Self Check in was organized very easily. The room is properly prepared. Since I needed to change the room before my stay, the hotel arranged a room of a suitable size for me outside of booking (through which I made the reservation). I felt like a welcome guest. Breakfast is not included in the price, but there are so many cafes around that it is more exciting to find a suitable place for you.

Weird hotel. Located in industrial suburbs of Sigulda, among half abandoned warehouses and car repair shops. Weird place for hotel. Room was quite big, but that is all. We did not have a minibar nor a fridge in the room. Although I was asked for a credit card number in case I will use a mini bar. Nice clean rooms, You will find everything there that's needed for a pleasant stay. The variety of the food for dinner and breakfast could be wider. In general it was a good stay.

Overall more or less is ok for that price, but this is not a 4-star hotel for sure, more like a 3-star. Rooms are quite spacious, bathrooms are ok. An air conditioner was out of order during the hottest days (official reason - due to a storm). Breakfast - there was a food. Hotel is outdated, requires some update.

Good value for the money. Decent number of amenities provided. Nothing major to complain about, except the location. It's quite far away from the city center, and the surroundings are not nice at all (automobile repair shops etc). Wi-Fi is available, but you'd need to ask receptionist for a password explicitly. Great place. Staff is ultra nice. Place is quiet and room soundproofing is ok. Bathrooms and rooms themselves are good. Bed was very comfortable and did not make noise... Morning Spa, which was included in room cost for me was very nice addition - pool in which you can swim a little, sauna and massage shower and massage bath with bubbles. Great place.

Good facilities in a quiet place. The family rooms are large and well furnished with kitchen, large bath tub. Small TV. Public transport connections not great. Restaurant not operational when we went. Nearby mall, small restaurants. Town (Sigulda) has adventure park and cable car and castle.

Good value for money, rented a kayak and spent 4-5 hours on the river from Ligatne back to the Boat Rental in Sigulda. You are driven from Sigulda to the starting point by the rental service. My only (and biggest) criticism is that there is no one around to actually help you haul the heavy kayak the 50 meters or so from the (only) landing spot on the end of the beach, up a steep hill to the base camp...

I would like to thank Makars for recommending us to go on Gauja river by canoe . After 30k on foot from Cesis to Ligatne ,my knee couldnt take another 30 k to Sigulda . We thought of renting a canoe but i was unsure as I have never done it and i didnt know the river . Makars was very helpful and open to all our questions,explained us everything and turned out it wasnt such a big deal . First part of...

This is only about kayak rentals. They did their job. Took us with a boat to the campsite of our choice and we got back in roundabout 4.5h for the 25km trip. Water was fast, so we did not very much. We started 45min after we had to get there. Not that big problem. But a little bit nasty. The big thing was the price. 50€ for a few hours kayaking is way too much.

Everything you need in one place for perfect holiday. Compact, 4 bedroom house with fully equipped kitchen, terrace and sauna. Beautiful views and surroundings. A lot of things to do in the resort and close by. Helpful and friendly staff. One downside, only one shower and toilet for 4 bedroom house. Overall enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Was a great experience, we went there for valentine's day for skiing and to stay overnight in the Guest house. We got the equipment for skiing for some 12/14 eur forgot, and for the skiing track we paying price for only one ticket it was valentine's day discount. Since it was Monday or don't know why no one was there😬, we were the only ones so enjoyed to the maximum. About the room it was 60eur one...

Great place to learn skiing and snowboarding. There are two types of lifts. Yo can book an instructor. Equipment rental is available. Snowboards and shoes are new and in very good condition. I recommend

A nice place for downhill skiing, one of my top choices in the area. Equipment rentals and instructors available. Other features are X-country skiing and golf. Fairly close to Sigulda, yet out of the city.

It is a golf club and it was mostly empty when we were there. You will need to get your food elsewhere - go to the nearby restaurant Kungu Rija for excellent food.
