It’s really a hidden gem. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is about 8min walk from the Milzkalne railway station, quite easy to access from Riga. The manor is so beautiful, well-preserved buildings with a green yard. Very good price for accommodation, also the breakfast (with extra cost) offers plenty of food and big proportions. And there is a small supermarket nearby, a forest trail connecting Tukums.

VERY clean and quiet manor dating back to the 1400s with museums . One is the autobahn construction equipment used in the 1930s thru 1960s with Russian and German vehicles. Nice cafe also. Plenty of free parking. Entry was also free. Nice place to visit off the beaten path.

It's not a castle, but manor. A medieval hunting manor.

Well maintained historic building that houses the oldest roadwork museum in Europe. Good choice for a wedding.
To better understand the tools and machinery in the museum, I defiantly recommend taking a guided tour. Gives more meaning and context.
