Reviews
Service:
The service was top-notch. From the moment I arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and highly professional. They ensured that my short visit was comfortable and enjoyable.
Atmosphere:
The hotel's ambiance is charming and intimate, with beautifully designed interiors that create a cozy and luxurious feel. The tranquil surroundings and elegant decor made it a perfect setting for a relaxing coffee break.
Coffee:
The coffee itself was excellent, brewed to perfection and served with care. It was evident that the hotel takes pride in offering high-quality beverages, and it was a delightful experience.
Recommendations:
- If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a coffee or tea. The serene atmosphere makes it a great spot for a peaceful break.
- The hotel's restaurant and other dining options looked very inviting, and I look forward to returning for a full meal in the future.
Even though my visit was brief, the exceptional service and beautiful setting left a strong impression. I highly recommend 20 Degrés Sud Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and intimate experience, whether for a short visit or an extended stay.
Our one issue is the way that the half board is done. The credit system was not great and it wasnt obvious from the start and we only knew after booking even though we asked prior to it. It was a bit of a pain having to think about that and speaking to others there they felt the same.
However we were well looked after and we have to say that the staff absolutely make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone is friendly and chatty and so nice. We certainly enjoyed our trip and stay here. The food was lovely and it was so peaceful here and relaxing. Its in a good spot too.
A few examples of the lack of R&C standard: for the first couple of days, the bar was playing the same playlist on repeat, and nothing was done about it until we pointed that out to staff.
We also saw & heard staff arguing/bickering a lot during our stay, including managers admonishing staff. It doesn't even matter that most guests do not understand the local language, the tone of the conversation & shouting gives it away.
There is a general lack of attention to detail, and the bar staff has differing standards: the quality of your drink depended heavily on who the barperson was on the day.
The hotel doesn't have enough sunbeds for all the guests, so you can't enjoy the beach unless you get there very early.
The boat dinner was a very nice experience, although overpriced for what you get. We also did the sunset cruise, which was disappointing: the staff were completely disorganised, it actually seemed as if it was their first time doing this: simple things like having a corkscrew on board, completely forgetting about serving the snacks until we got back to the jetty, etc. We also found that none of the snacks were seafood-free, which we had requested as my wife is allergic to seafood.
Overall, compared to our previous hotel stays in MU, this is by far the best hotel on the island, and the absolute best part is that it is an adults-only hotel.
Firstly, the size of the hotel, including the common areas, felt somewhat constrained for a property boasting a 5-star rating. This was a surprising element given the usual standards of luxury and spaciousness one expects in such establishments.
Additionally, the range of activities available at the hotel was quite limited. For guests looking to engage in various leisure or recreational activities within the hotel, this might be a letdown. More diverse and engaging options would greatly enhance the experience.
On a positive note, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. Their professionalism and warmth significantly contributed to the comfort of my stay. This level of service is indeed reflective of the hotel’s high standards.
However, I must point out that the pricing of drinks at the hotel is notably higher compared to similar establishments. While I understand premium pricing is a part of the luxury hotel experience, the cost of beverages here seemed excessively steep relative to other high-standing hotels.
The facilities are new and modern.
I would recommend this more for a couple stay rather than a family stay. It’s quiet and calm and hence as a family, you don’t want to disturb the peace.
Although they had water activités, the vibe was really chill. Spa was excellent.
Lunch by the water was amusing as the food was delicious and the view of course was delightful.
Would recommend to couples but not families.
Small with 36 rooms, yet all of them beautiful appointed.
The highlight for us was the restaurant. Fantastic view, great food, lovely service that pays attention to the last detail.. I ate the last meat off the lamb rack bones holding them with my hand... And a bowl with hit water and lemon came to wash my hands... My serviette was quite dirty and it was changed mid meal... Wow
The rooms are not cheap, yet felt the food and wines were very reasonably priced
It has disappeared, but suffice to say I cannot recommend this Chateau and Relais 5 -star property highly enough.-in all areas ; facilities, service cuisine, location ,accommodation......all superb.
Just go...... I promise you won't be disappointed .
