Waterberg Guest Farm, Otjiwarongo1 / 25

Otjiwarongo, Farm Okosongomingo 🧭 Map
What a fantastic way to finish our tour around Namibia. Wateberg Guest Farm is a cozy and familiar lodge that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The staff, from Jafet who welcomed us, Theo in the bar, Alois as the head waiter to Jimmy the horse guide, they all made us feel extremely well cared for and part of the family. The food is all homemade and delicious. We were in Bungalow #7 and...
Overall great lodge with beautiful bungalow’s and nice little pool. Negative point is there are only fans in the bungalows, no AC. With temperatures of 37 degrees that’s a bit hot at night for me as an European. That should change. Oh and they couldn’t serve a good temperature red wine, it was too warm. They should keep it fridged at all times, especially when you brag about your fine wines on your...
Wonderful cabins, wonderful people, wonderful food. I loved the outdoor shower, and the central area with pool and restaurant are lovely. Make sure to stay for more than one day bc they offer nice activities (drive around the farm, horse riding, cheetah sanctuary) and you can do some nice hiking.
Wow!!! What a beautiful place to stay 😍 I was so in love with my private cabin (if that’s the correct name for it?) - the view was amazing, the decoration was wonderful and the outdoor shower was so fun 🎉 my only criticism would be - since the cabin has no curtains (which personally, I love since the cabins were so private and the view is wonderful to wake up to) it would be nice to be warned in advance...
Close to the Waterberg mountain, very nice lodge with views. Comfy beds and nice linen. Food included was nice - the wine you could chose to buy was excellent. Two big dogs walk in restaurant which I really liked but maybe not for everyone. WiFi not so good, only at the restaurant/bar but they have a very nice library where you could borrow a book- a lot on flora and fauna. Excellent! Also you could...
Die Lage ist sensationell, Rundumblick vom Bett aus, es gibt zwei Duschen, eine Open Air. Jeder Bungalow ist absolut für sich und nicht einsehbar.

A beautifully arranged guesthouse, especially the garden is wonderful. A perfect place for a relaxing stopover or a longer stay. The breakfast was also one of the best we had in Namibia. Dinner at Out of Africa just across the street was also delicious!
Perfect stay, peaceful and secure. With the most friendly host. Everything was super, breakfast was good.....overall all good.
Hadassa Guest House has a nice and quiet atmosphere, with beautiful gardens and a swimming pool to relax. The rooms are spacious, with air-conditioning and a small fridge to keep your snacks cool. Ideal for overnight when traveling, or to stay over when you have business in the area. Secure parking.
Hadassa has consistently maintained its standards, charm and grace. It is really a home away from home. Highly recommended, for any stay in Otchiwaringo. Never disappoints! Great appreciation to Monsieur Pascal and team. Bravo!
Beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms. The manager is really nice and friendly : No hesitation, best guest house in town !
I have loved every minute of my stay, the welcome is so warm, the rooms are just perfection, always cleaned. Breakfast has amazing fresh fruits, freshly baked desserts everyday, warm food cooked as you walk in. Owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

Beautiful bed and breakfast! The place has everything you could ask for, AirCon, a safe, good breakfast. It was very clean. We had a comfortable room for two people. We also were treated very nicely by everybody there. It's definitely a nice base for trips to Waterberg, which you reach in about one hour by car. For eating out from there, you should definitely check out Casa Forno or the Crocodile...
What a delightful place to stay. Carolla was so nice and the accommodations were clean, comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast served for us had plenty of variety and we were recommended a nice restaurant for dinner. I would absolutely stay here again.
We stayed over for 1 night and enjoyed the friendly service by the owner. The room is well equipped and comfortable
Carola & her husband made us feel at home.Beautiful place, wonderful breakfast prepared with lots of love.We stayed for 2 nights wish it could've been for longer.Thank you for a fantastic stay

Great view from the breakfast table onto the waterhole where always was something to observe. Outstanding location, reception area, swimming pool and view rooms. And the drives with the rangers were exceptional, too. An all over fantastic experience.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING ❤️ Best holiday stay ever!!! We would like to thank the staff for making our stay truly memorable. The staff whether it is in the restaurant, at the reception, in the houskeeping or the guides were very kind, helpful and surprised us with the most amazing hospitality. We were lucky and had two amazing guides on our spectacular game drives, at this point we would like to thank...
We were blown away! The rooms were very spacious and felt luxurious. Very clean, amazing views and staff was the best. So much good information about the cats and lots of great activities. They do really good conservation work here. The dinner and breakfast was on point and above all expectations. The laundry service was super helpful and the conversations we had with workers made the experience special...
Best place to see leopards in their natural habitat ! The room has a great view over the bush and is huge ! It is actually more a little house than a room. Food was great and we also appreciated the pool for our last day! The leopard tour definitely worth it ! We were able to see 4 and many others animals thanks to our super guide Deni. We also did the Cheetas tour that was great ! We definitely recommend...
All in all, a good friendly and rewarding experience! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are good clean and very spacious. The food was really good and beautifully served. The camp cope very well with all the Covid rules and anyone should feel safe and welcome. We did the leopard tracking and once again the our guide was excellent and we the most amazing leopard encounters.
Not as good as the bush camp, but luxury enough after a few nights inside Etosha! Try to get a plains view room 1, you can see the waterhole from your bed.

We went here to eat dinner, and the food was excellent! Try the topped game, which I had and which was delicious!
The rooms are pretty standard. You need a PhD to operate the outdated shower, as it's either extremely hot or cold. The aircon is tame for the Namibian heat and the bedding is way to warm for Namibia. The food and the service however make up for the negatives mentioned above. Will stay again, but will bring a sommer blanket along for the warm nights.

The view is fantastic from the chalet nearby the restaurant. A lot of activities can be booked directly with the hotel or you can explore the trails until the spring at the very end of the valley. Very friendly staff who helped us with our flat tire.
We stayed at the campsite, very nice view and private bathrooms. We also joined the morning Plateau hike and it was interesting. Recommended!
In the middle of wildness, where monkeys , giraffes, oryx etc are all around. And white rhinos (book with the guide to find them). You can book few trips to see animals or make wandering around to find out quelle or just go around and meet animals. Rooms are huge and clean. Might need some upgrades but beds are good quality and everything is really clean. Staff friendly. Do not.open windows!!! Monkeys...
Best stay on our trip througout Namibia. Nice hut. The staff really took care of us. Wonderful surroundings and a lot of animals. (But bring a warm sweater in winter.) I really would like to return one day.
Very friendly stuff, nice surroundings. Quality and size of served meals could be improved. It was also nice to have no tourist buses in this hotel.
This Lodge actually features 4 different types of lodges. The Waterberg Wilderness Lodge has stone buildings and nice rooms. Please be aware that the double rooms do not have two beds that can be moved apart but only one large bed. The lodge is the last one in the valley placed deep inside the Waterberg Valley, so you have a fantastic view of the mountain all around. The little park area in the middle...

The location is superb on a hill top with 360 degrees panaramic views of the veld and hills beyond. Excellent balcony/stoop and very well equipped room and kitchen area. infinity pool great view.
For us one of the best lodges in Namibia. Many Thanks to Johan, his wife ans the hole team - we will never forget these unvorgettable days with you kind regards Gigi, Elvira, Wolfgang und Michael St.
Aloegrove was our first accomodation after having arrived in Windhoek. It felt like home, especially because of the lovely owners, Johan and Ivy. They took care of us so well that it is difficult to describe. The food was amazing and far above all we expected. The location on top of a hill with 360° surround view superb and the rooms just lovely in every detail. We easily arrived with our 2WD bus....
I didn't stay at this place but I really wanted to. Unfortunately, something very unpleasant happened to me. I put 5 stars only because I don't want to ruin this high average and because I wasn't there so it would be unfair to rate it badly but I want to share my experience nevertheless. My friend and I are bikepacking through Namibia for a month now but we don't do wild camping yet, we feel more...
We initially booked this lodge for 2 days and liked it so much that we decided to come back for an extra night. The lodge is located on the top of a hill inside a beautiful private farm. In this farm, you can see species that are quite uncommon in Namibia, such as the sable antelope, black impala, black wildebeest, etc. The lodge is clean, well equipped (and has very fast WIFI), the bed is comfortable...

What a lovely lodge. The staff make you feel so welcome. The main lodge is stunning, modern but with historical rustic charm. The food was first class.
This place is fabulous. On our 2.5 weeks Namibia-tour this was the best lodge we had. The staff was super friendly. The rhino-safari was really nice because you dont just drive around but the guides read the traces and find (obv. not all the time but thats nature) the rhinos! Really impressive The food is really good and also the spa was perfect The rooms are really beautiful and modern, wifi in the...
Really enjoyed our weekend visit to Otjiwa. Stayed 2 nights. We did quite a bit of bird watching and walking around the dam past the various antelope (Springbok and Rooibok) which was quite fun. Went for a night drive which presented a different game drive experience. Relaxed with an affordable massage at the small spa. Overall very good experience, friendly service and liked the food. Would visit...
AMAZING! We camped in one of the camp sites, which provided us with clean bathrooms and warm showers, big boma and a very private area in the bush. We also had the opportunity to see kudu and springbok grazing nearby. The staff are very accomodating and extremely nice. Especially worker, Dicaprio and the staff in the restaurant. The breakfast is to die for! A must place to visit - we will be back when...
