Waterberg Guest Farm

What a fantastic way to finish our tour around Namibia. Wateberg Guest Farm is a cozy and familiar lodge that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The staff, from Jafet who welcomed us, Theo in the bar, Alois as the head waiter to Jimmy the horse guide, they all made us feel extremely well cared for and part of the family.
The food is all homemade and delicious.
We were in Bungalow #7 and the views to the Waterberg Plateau are stunning. The Bungalows are far from each other offering a lot of privacy.
You are in the middle of nature and of course there are a few cohabitants like spiders and mosquitoes, but bungalows are provided with insect spray.
I highly recommend making a stop a Waterberg Guest Farm. It is all about the small details, like the fresh milk from their cows for breakfast or a warming fire pit at sunset.

Overall great lodge with beautiful bungalow’s and nice little pool. Negative point is there are only fans in the bungalows, no AC. With temperatures of 37 degrees that’s a bit hot at night for me as an European. That should change. Oh and they couldn’t serve a good temperature red wine, it was too warm. They should keep it fridged at all times, especially when you brag about your fine wines on your website.

Wonderful cabins, wonderful people, wonderful food. I loved the outdoor shower, and the central area with pool and restaurant are lovely.
Make sure to stay for more than one day bc they offer nice activities (drive around the farm, horse riding, cheetah sanctuary) and you can do some nice hiking.

Wow!!! What a beautiful place to stay 😍 I was so in love with my private cabin (if that’s the correct name for it?) - the view was amazing, the decoration was wonderful and the outdoor shower was so fun 🎉 my only criticism would be - since the cabin has no curtains (which personally, I love since the cabins were so private and the view is wonderful to wake up to) it would be nice to be warned in advance that a member of staff may call by in the morning to ask what you had from the mini bar. I was naked when it happened and I think we both got quite the shock 😂

Close to the Waterberg mountain, very nice lodge with views. Comfy beds and nice linen. Food included was nice - the wine you could chose to buy was excellent. Two big dogs walk in restaurant which I really liked but maybe not for everyone. WiFi not so good, only at the restaurant/bar but they have a very nice library where you could borrow a book- a lot on flora and fauna. Excellent! Also you could buy shirts in curio shop.
Map of premises with trails and some short info about the mountains would be an improvement.

A very nice location. the bungalows are set back and offer a breathtaking view of the Waterberg. The reception and service was very good and friendly. The food, which was also very good, was eaten with the other guests at a large table in a very informal manner.

The dinner was very nice and refined. Rooms with a view!!
