This one of the best known hotels in Kathmandu. Service is good and location too. However it needs to renovate the bathrooms and carpets. The surroundings, garden at the back, breakfast restaurant all are great. For a hotel of this price I expected toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc but there was none. Good fun because there are many souvenir stores, restaurants, casinos and money changers around.

A well looked after heritage property. It is decorated with some amazing expensive art collection and artifects. Property has many restaurants with good food choices. Staff was well groomed, attentive, and looked after us well.

This is the best hotel to stay in Kathmandu, placed just a few yards away from the Durbar Road where all the international brand stores and restaurants are placed. The hotel staff are very cooperative, I was in their improved room which is very spacious. However they have to improve their linen quality, and the internet speed. Still my next stay will be only here.

The walls are built with traditional bricks, the rooms were clean but there was a bit of dust around the corners. There's no AC nor TV. A quiet haven. Beautiful hotel located in center city with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Classical architecture and green philosophy makes for a relaxing stay. As it is a traditional hotel, they don't have elevator, TV and AC, as well as they don't have hand shower system too. So I felt hot and gave me a table fan and it is okay for me. Very simple breakfast they offer, but foods are good. Services are wonderful.

Stayed here after trekking for two weeks. Really comfortable hotel and a great treat. The location is very good for quick/easy access to Thamel. The gym on the top floor has great views, and the pool is good. The pool was very busy so I didn’t really use it that much. The food provided for breakfast and room service was good quality. Clean and convenient. There is a refregirator in the room, and I had a complimentary drink service. Services are comfortable and very attentive. A breakfast buffet has a variety of food.

The stay is well & neat managed. But considering the room size only a 4 Feet skinny person can sleep or stay in the room properly. Also the receptionist might keep you waiting for an hour to allot the room even after prior reservation and ask for extra charges for priority.

This is the best Marriott hotel I have ever been - much better than those luxurious one because it has the most incredible nice and helpful staff ( the front desk and restaurant staff team as well as chefs especially the head chef). I stayed here 3 times over the course of my trip in Nepal. Each time I returned from a long trek it was my place to recharge for a day or two in Kathmandu.
