Hotel Hanseatic - Adults Only

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend for 3 nights during Christmas. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience for us. The worst aspect of our stay was Christmans dinner on Christmas Eve. We were informed by the receptionist that it starts at 4 PM. When we arrived at the dining room at 4:05 PM there was hardly any food left (!). No dumplings, no fish etc. Surprisingly, hardly anything was refilled during the whole dinner. And if it was, everything was cold. The end result was that we left the dinner hungry and extremely disappointed.

Similar situation was with breakfasts and dinner on 25th Dec. My advice: if you plan to stay at this place, you should show up in the dining room 5-10 minutes before the official start of the given meal service. Otherwise you can be very unpleasantly suprised by lack of food selection.

The other downside was the Internet connection. Every room has its own, dedicated WiFi network, but you have to keep your TV on in order to activate it which is quite annoying. The quality of WiFi connection is also not perfect, to say the least.

The staff is unprofessional, especially the receptionists. There is no 24-hour service. They leave for the days at 10 PM. Moreover, it is not easy to find a parking slot. The hotel does not possess any slots dedicated for their guests, so the only option is to 'hunt' for a free one within the public area nearby which costs money on weekdays.

To sum up, there are too many downsides of this place and even the great location, very close to the beach cannot compensate all the problems that you can come across there. Definitely not recommended.

I recall booking for the wrong date (wrong month), and immediately reaching out to cancel or reschedule. By the time I heard back, I had booked elsewhere for that night. (Same day booking). Refused to refund.

I meant to book for the same day, accidentally booked a different month. I contacted them immediately and they refused to cancel the booking. Why would you deal with a business that is so discourteous to its customers?
