Hotel Dana Business & Conference

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. According to the hotel’s website, the room we booked (Superior Double) was advertised as having a smart TV. However, the room was equipped with only a standard cable TV. When we raised this issue with the receptionist, she informed us that she would discuss it with her superiors and get back to us, but unfortunately, we never received any follow-up. After our stay, we checked the website again and noticed that the mention of smart TVs had curiously been removed from the room descriptions.

The bathroom had a bathtub with no protective curtain or door to prevent water from splashing, resulting in significant water accumulation on the floor even after a quick shower. This caused the bathroom to remain wet for hours. Additionally, there was visible mold along the edge of the bathtub. The room’s ventilation emitted an unpleasant odor, and the carpets also had a noticeable bad smell. The lighting in the room was dim and not suitable for activities like reading.

Regarding breakfast, while the food was tasty, the selection was quite limited.
The pool area was another disappointment; the water temperature was inconsistent during our stay and was far from warm. Furthermore, the pool is shared with gym users and residents of the Hanza Tower apartments, which detracted from the overall experience.

Finally, the staff’s behavior was less than welcoming. We were only greeted on a few occasions, which left a negative impression. Overall, the hotel did not meet the standards advertised, and there were several areas where significant improvements are needed.

On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located, with several shopping opportunities nearby, including the Galaxy Centrum, which is within easy reach. This adds to the convenience for guests who wish to explore the area or indulge in shopping during their stay.

We chose this hotel because of the facilities. When we arrived we learned that the gym was under construction and it was not working. We stayed 3 nights and 2 full day pool was not working. We felt like we were scammed since Hotel Dana is a bit more expensive than the other options but we thought we might have some activities in the hotel but nothing was working. On the other hand, the staff in kitchen area was rude and they acted like we were trying to sneak in the breakfast area. They asked us to wait before we found a table and questioned us multiple times about our room number etc. Also, food was not fresh and it felt like they bake everything once a week and never touch anymore.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! They cancelled at no cost the 2nd night and offered free parking. That was nice.
The hotel has a huge potential. They put a lot of money into it (furniture, facilities etc. ) BUT:
1. The smell in the room is unbearable. Even if this is a new hotel, smells like an US motel. Probably because they have carpet everywhere and it gets wet an retains dust.
2. WC - for sure there are guests that leave the WC dirty, but there is no excuse not to clean it. Come with the flame thrower but don't leave traces of pee, poop, vomit around.
3. Shower - it is stuck most probably from hair and other stuff. After 30 seconds was a flooding.
4. AC - does not work. Just makes noises.
5. Minibar - ABSENT! Just an old small fridge.
6. Towels - where in good shape in 2020.
7. A lot of furniture in the rooms occupying space and enhancing the smell.
8. shower ammeneties - cheap, cheap, cheap.

The only good thing was the interaction with the staff.
