Koh Talu Island Resort

If you're looking for a nice day trip (2700 THB per person) from Hua Hin, this private island is highly recommended.

It's fun and relaxing, but it's a full day from 7 am - 8 pm: 3 hours by car and a 30-minute boat ride each way. But you do get about 4 - 5 hours on the island.

The activities start off with snorkeling near to the beach, followed by a buffet lunch (not bad but with limited selections and soft drinks are extra), then an afternoon on the beach where you can get a kayak or paddle board.

The beach near to the pier is small but quite nice: soft clean sands, aqua blue and turquoise surfs, and some palm trees for shade if you need it. Guests on the island seem to use other beaches, however.

Massage (pricey) is available right next to the beach, but looks to accommodate only two people at a time.

There's also a small sea turtle nursery with several young turtles swimming around in open tanks, but not much more.

The staff at both the pier and island are friendly, and they do make sure you're on one of the boats in time for departure.

PS: Bring plenty of cash or pay by bank transfer only; they don't do QR scan or Promptpay. Also bring your own snacks and drinks.

I'd give it more stars if I could. Staff food trips everything was brilliant. Rooms a little basic but suited us. Food was brilliant. Wendy squid fishing, snorkeling, sunrise walk, see the turtles, paddle boarding. And mr tu was the highlight of the island. And mr tus taxi and his best taxi on the island. Top bloke was all about looking after the tourists on the island. And the boat staff were very knowledgeable aswel for the the trips out. Thank you

The room is quite old and dark. If you choose the Thai-style bedroom. All the staff members were so excellent. Great place to visit and spend time for your holiday.

We spent an amazing weekend at Koh Talu Island Resort. The island is very small, but stunning with crystal clear water and white sand. Worth to mention that the island is not crowded at all even in the peak of the tourist season. Great and safe place for children. We also enjoyed yummy Thai food served in the resort.

It's a beautiful island beach resort. You travel in a boat to reach this place. The staff are very courteous and always ready to help you. The beach is very calm and waves are almost not there making it even more silent beach. You have lots of activities like trekking, snorkeling etc. You can even go fishing if you like.
They prepare a barbecue on the trawl. You can have the freshest fish ever. If you love fishes.
Veg options are very very limited. You do get fruits and soup and white rice.
I would definitely recommend this place. Very quiet and serene place.

We stayed two nights on the island and loved it. It is everything you would expect from an island resort. The only let-down was the condition of the accommodation, which is well overdue for some refurbishment work, and did not live up to the prices charged.

Beautiful island. Koh Talu is a private island a bit south from bansaphan. The houses are Thai style and a bit old, though has a good shower. During night expect mosquitoes, my partner had no problem but they seemed to love me. Overall nice experience, friendly and helpful staff, really good food and a nice beach. I could retire to this place.

Excellent food. Good service. Pleasant surroundings, good snorkeling offshore. Seen many fish. Has a turtle hatchery. Guided activities are worth participating in. Good inshore kayaking.
