Hivetel Mini-hotel

I stayed for a month and payed 30.000 bht, roughly 850€. The staff was helpful and nice. Roomservice didn’t clean the room properly, the (supposedly „fresh“) towels had stains on them. My bed had bugs in them (bedbugs? Ants? I’m not sure). A few days before my stay ended, the hotel accused me of breaking the hair dryer. I tried using it once and it was falling apart already. They demanded 1.500bht (roughly 40€). For a tiny, horrifible quality hair dryer. I managed to get them down to 600.. still way too much considering I didn’t break it and it’s not worth that money in the slightest.
The location is quiet. Just a handful of restaurants in walking distance. The beach is walking distance too BUT you cannot swim in it!!! So it’s just nice for the views. Which I didn’t know, make sure you’re aware of this.

Considering all this it’s absoooolutely overpriced. 10/10 would never do again and would not recommend unfortunately.

Booked this hotel expecting greatness with a 10-day stay for $600, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Room service wasn't provided daily, the electricity required the key card, mosquito bites were abundant, breakfast options were limited, and the bed felt as hard as a rock. Communication required Google Translate as English wasn't well understood. On a positive note, the free bike rental and the proximity to Phuket Fight Club were the highlights.

Positives:
- Complimentary bicycle rental
- Motorbike/scooter rental available at 300 baht per day
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Scenic outdoor eating area
- Access to a gym and outdoor pool

Negatives:
- Bathroom lacks the option to close the air vent, increasing the risk of mosquito bites
- Presence of mold on the shower curtain
- Awkwardly angled sink with minimal counter space
- Room service available only until 4 pm; no assistance after this time until the next day
- Firm beds located in the corner of the storage unit
- Provision of a mini fridge and hairdryer
- Electricity dependent on the key card, limiting charging and cooling options
- Limited TV channels with no access to streaming services like Netflix

Breakfast:
- Served from 8-10:30 am with few options and subpar quality; reconsider opting for included breakfast when booking
- Sauna available at an additional charge of 250 baht per hour, although details are not clearly specified initially

I didn’t like the fact that they weren’t able to charge my credit card - I needed to pay with another card with huge provision. also I was the one who had to take the initiative about the payment - text booking, give them ideas how to charge my card by the numbers etc. They didn’t do anything to help. I was willing to pay by cash when I check out but the night before staff came into our room AFTER 9pm demanding the payment and there was even a police officer 😅 They also asked about 1000 THB deposit when check in which is not mentioned anywhere. Wifi connection was poor and I wasn’t even able to call anyone. Although I loved the looks and hotels’ design I wouldn’t stay there one more time. Location is not good, without motorbike you won’t have anything to do there. They want tocharge you 300 THB for a motorbike when you can rent a motorbike in any other place for 150. Also i had some questions about my stay prior to arrival and they didn't respond to any message!

EDIT: Since your answer magically popped out like my credit card: it would be great to hire someone who speaks English cause there was a misunderstanding not lying. I didn’t say NO to a credit card - I say I don’t want to use it cause it has provision and my phone card doesn’t. Same with ATM withdrawal. I told the lady at the reception that I will use my other card or cash before I’ve seen the police - she didn’t mention it and now you’re blaming me? Ok - maybe she just didn’t understand what I was saying. The other thing - Magically my phone card works in any other hotel and I am in Asia for two months now (hivetel was my 15th stay and only one where I couldn’t use it). Also - what did you call the police at 9pm when you had 6 days for it? 😂 the other thing - when I had the problems with my reservation I was texting you multiple times via booking and didn’t get any response prior to my arrival. The next thing - I was trying to reach out to you via booking AFTER my stay and didn’t get any response - of course it magically popped out after my review.

Very disappointing hotel

The rooms have very poor sound insulation, you can hear the neighbours as if they were in the same room. The sound insulation is not helped by the holes in the wall which meant that from my bed I was able to see the bathroom in the next room.

Furthermore the « room for 3 person » is actually a very uncomfortable mattress placed at the foot of the bed so that it is impossible to get out of bed without walking on it !!

Finally, to top it all off, they left indelible stains on my identity card
