Marina House MUAYTHAI Ta-iad Phuket

Location was great for fitness street and a short walk to all the gyms, convenience stores, massage shops, nails shops. Room was a good size and had a small kitchenette area with a fridge, and a small amount of cutlery and bowls in the room and a kitchen downstairs with a microwave. lots of parking was good cars and scooters.

I stayed there for a month. Starting first week i faced some problems regarding air conditioner but rest after that everything was good. They got probably the best pool in Chalong.

Stayed here two weeks. Everyone was helpful. Room was great. Air conditioning was awesome. Everyone here is fighting or training so good atmosphere🇹🇭. You can dry your hand wraps and cloths on your balcony that every room has attached.

Honest review for 1 week stay

PROS: Prime location, right in the middle of Soi Ta-iad. Very convenient and easily accessible to all basic necessities. Nice, cosy & comfortable room with nice & clean beds. Balcony to dry clothes & hand wraps.

CONS: Doggy & unpolished exterior walls and dark corridors in building. (Incomplete decor outside the rooms, probably costs issue by management) Very impersonal and dim corridors. Very quiet after 6pm. Echoes from people playing table tennis and exercising are annoying sometimes. Can be expensive depending on when & how many days you book to stay.

I enjoyed my stay Marina House a lot.

If I could, I would actually rate it like 4.3-4.4/5 because there were a couple of things that could be improved, and I did have a few smaller issues here and there but the staff resolved them.

I stayed for just over a month.

Lots of positives:

- Building feels very clean
- Beds are very comfortable
- Aircons works great
- No weird smells or anything (which does happen at some places)
- Bathrooms are modern and well-lit
- I stayed in 2 different rooms and both got lots of natural light (I stayed on both sides facing different directions)
- I could hear very little noise from other people or rooms (I was on floor 5)
- The pool is massive and looks well maintained
- Staff were friendly and I got to see the same faces over and over
- They have a mini gym with a couple of weights, treadmill, etc
- Rooms have nicely sized desks
- Couldn't ask for a better location, 2 minute walk from 7-11, great restaurants, few more minutes to gyms, etc

But there were a few draw backs:

- The first room I stayed in for just a week, actually had a door joining to the other room (I'm guessing this is for families traveling together). But this meant I could hear so much of my neighbour watching TV at 3am, listening to music, etc. (Just unlucky with the neighbour). When I extended my stay, they moved me to another room that didn't have this, and that was very quiet, I couldn't hear anything from my neighbours

- They have this big nice lounge space, almost like a office/breakfast area, lots of natural light, and would have been amazing to sit on my laptop a bit there but there are no plugs anywhere that I could see. Just seems odd (but maybe they don't want people sitting there on their laptops)

- Getting my one issue resolved was a little slow (I also could have also followed up better) but it got resolved and they made it up to me when I extended for the 2nd time :)

Overall, highly likely you'd enjoy your stay here as well (and I personally would stay here again)
