Nothing around hotel within walking distance. You are here for the hotel and elephant camp. Spa service was lovely and the cooking class was better then expected. We spent two afternoons by the pool but there was no service so we had to go back and forth to the bar for food and drinks.

Awesome experience staying in the jungle bubble with elephants. Feeding and walking with the elephants and the Royal Enfield trip. Worth every dollar. I would also like to thank Tuk for here friendly, professional and welcoming personality.

Quite an experience to spend quality time with elephants in nature. Staff were impressive with their passion and service. Impressed with the chef with his activities and attention to detail. The room is just too old for the price paid. Excursions taken were very good indeed. With all inclusive package, there's only 1 restaurant to enjoy for the whole trip.

From start to finish, this place is a true gem. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is well taken care of. The Jungle Bubble experience is truly one of a kind and highly recommended. Regardless of what the one angry reviewer has said (who by the way hasn't actually visited the place but seems like a keyboard warrior), the elephants are very well taken care of and quite happy living...

Located next to the Mekong River, and be sure to get a room facing the river, so you can watch sunrises, definitely the reason to choose this hotel. The hotel can need an update and the shower can use more pressure, but I had a pleasent stay. Hotel was clean and in good repair. Breakfast was good with omlettes made to order. Great view across the Mae Khong river. Only lost a star because limited parking across a busy street.

Unbeatable for the price (800 baht per night during end of COVID). Grand feeling from the old colonial / opium trading days. Highly recommended, feels much more expensive than the price. Great view over Burma and Laos and Mekong from the room

This is a very well run hotel. The staff are excellent. The restaurant is great. I love the elegance of the hotel. The rooms are dated but I like that, everything works, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable.

Quite good overall but the toilets were very dated (you can tell from the American Standard logo edition) and with a very high water line as well. Perhaps it was just an unrenovated room though. The bathroom was otherwise okay - just the toilet was annoying.

Teak wood ornate old hotel with large rooms and a king bed which apparently had its glory in the past. The restaurant has great terrace with river views.

A nice hotel closest to the Golden Triangle park. We had a room on the 4th floor with a great view to the Mekong. A bit dated but still nice and clean. The lobby area is nicely decorated with many sitting area. The hotel staffs are great and very helpful. The breakfast was average but sufficient.

I love this place! Located at the River Mekong you have a wonderful view. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and I so much liked the balcony. Staff is fantastic, firendly and helpful. Chiang Saen is very quiet, so you will have a relaxing stay here.

Well located for local visite, big rooms with confortable vers, but lit clean enough in the bathroom. Wifi is also unstable and ont available in public areas (dining room)

We booked 3 rooms.The rooms with the river view is beautiful. The staff are very accommodating. The breakfast is eat you can but few choices. A good place to relax.

My family loved this place! The rooms and view were amazing. The service and everyone working there was great. When we arrived we were given a little lemonade and warmly greeted. The restaurant food was delicious and the women making the cocktails did an amazing job. I would come back here next time I visit!

Good atmosphere, close to many attractions. especially the hall of opium But not suitable for the elderly because the way up to the room is quite high and a bit far for the elderly.

Wanted to give five stars but cut two due to two reasons 1) No wooden flooring 2) Bungalows are at higher levels. It is around 3 kms from Golden Triangle and in the middle of hills near opium Hall. It is value for money resort and staff is very Co-operative. Rooms are very spacious and well maintained.

On the banks of the Mekong river. A bit difficult to find but rooms are clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was accommodating. Food in the restaurant was decent. Parking is a bit tight.

Used bungalow. Aircon worked well. Bed comfortable. TV with satellite - found France 24 after long search. Shower had soap and shampoo dispenser. Good hot water. Ground level elevated deck with private table and chairs. Road uphill gives access to female statue that can not be observed from below. In room fridge and freezer. Secure ground level on terrace bicycle parking.
