Reviews
No strange smells, very clean, no damp or mold, ac strong and quiet. Huge balcony. Quiet neighborhood. Toilet and kitchen are in another separate room. Only minor thing to notice is shower heat and pressure wasn’t super strong but nothing to complain. Unfortunately I forgot to take more photos of the room, but is very beautiful.
Staff was super nice.
I was welcomed at night by a kind Thai girl, who showed me the room. She told me she would have been around until 11pm. So I read in other reviews staff was off at 6pm, I believe this was addressed and fixed by management.
Area is quiet, also some unexpected Seaview through the trees, there’s a rental for bikes just next.
As in most of the island you need a scooter to get around. For guests who want to walk only, need to go on other areas but you’ll have to choose between saving, being near the beach, near the food, quiet area. Hardly to find all 4 of them in a walkable hotel. So best option is have a scooter or download GRAB app to get around quickly and conveniently.
Anyways if you can’t, at 10 mins walking there’s a nice road with plenty of cute restaurants. I suggest THE MOTHER, which I also reviewed.
I read other reviews from the past and I had the feeling there has been much improvement going on, and wanted to point this out.
If you get this same room it’s a bang for the buck!
The value for money is very good
I recommend it to all my friends.
Beautiful lighting in the room. Probably the best in room lighting i’ve had in a hotel.
Lovely Joinery and woodwork. Floors are nice to walk on.
Location on samui is gorgeous and the view is lovely.
However the hotel is largely dilapidated.
The first night i stayed in a room that was so damp and mold damaged that I got a respiratory infection.
Bath looked beautiful but then the hot water tap gave off an odd smell and brown water so i never used it sadly.
Toilet stopped working in the night. Because the lovely staff are only there from 8 am - 5pm we had no working toilet for 12 hours. There was no other toilet on the premises available either.
Also there’s no breakfast and it’s not close to a 7-11 or any breakfast place which is trying.
The ownership and management has terrible protocols and has let a beautiful hotel fall into shameful disrepair. I was charged around 3500 baht to stay here which was too much considering all of the mayhem.
If it was 2,000 I would have been satisfied. I don’t think they should be charging this much until they’ve properly renovated and elevated the support for hotel guests.
At least offering a simple breakfast.
Also I would advise changing their repair team. The guy arrived to fix my door handle which wasn’t working and he added one screw instead of fixing it. Perhaps they are the culprit?
I would have put 3 stars but I did enjoy the positive aspects of the hotel so much that I’ve decided to leave 4. But I probably wouldn’t stay again because I did get quite sick.
Thank you!
