Very disappointed. We reserved this hotel because of how wonderful the new tower looked in photos. Turns out the entire property is under renovation without us knowing at the time of booking, and all guests had to stay in the very outdated building. The new property is not available. When we arrived, it was like a ghost town. No staff, no guests, nothing. Checking in was confusing as well. Even though the staff was polite, all but one staff member did not speak Thai, and their English was very hard to understand. They also did not understand our requests that were made and were visibly confused. Elevators were barely functional, and all the on property restaurants were closed. Power tool noises were heard everywhere in the building. Our room was extremely unmanaged. The rooms did not have card keys, and our key kept getting jammed in the door knob. Mold in the bathroom and the view from our window was just to another building. Our safety box was also not working and needed to be reset several times by a staff member. When we went to the pool, there was no staff, and a set of old pool towels were just left aside for anyone to grab. The pool was also dirty in several locations. The beach outside was unmanaged, trash everywhere, and beach chairs scattered. We canceled our stay and left within an hour of arriving.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. All other reviews are correct. To add to the substantial disappointment of the old rooms as many have noted, it clearly states on the hotel notes that the tennis courts are a “freebie”. When we tried to play we were told that we would have to pay. We asked to speak to the manager and explained that as we got ripped off on the hotel we did not want to also have to pay to play tennis when they advertised that the tennis was free ! The manager refused to allow us to play for free. AGAIN, DO NOT BOOK HERE, COMPLETE RIP OFF !!! Picture of manager who refused to make things right.

I am a staff member of this hotel. I work hard. But most of the workers don't get paid. I don't get paid either. That's why most of the workers in the hotel have left. I have never experienced this kind of hotel before. I am very disappointed.

DO NOT BOOK. This place (Ocean Wing) is hugely disappointing. The room looks 50 years old. It is almost dangerous (see the photos of the wires). There is a blanket on the bed, not a duvet. There is hardly anyone here. It is souless. It is more like a hostel than a hotel and it feels so mis-sold. It is the worse 'hotel' by a mile that I have stayed in on this trip to Thailand. I will be asking for a refund.

Stay away from this hotel. I was here almost 30 years ago, it was the crown jewel of hotels in Jomtian area with the size of mini city, various room types, and top notch services. Today, it’s basically a scam hotel with only 1 building operating. Everything is in poor condition, I am not sure why they bother open some restaurants without any guest staying. Do not believe photo in any hotel booking apps. What I heard long time ago is the owners have some legal dispute going on between themselves. So the hotel is barely operating at minimum level. Again, stay away from this hotel.

Dear Hotel Management,

I recently stayed at ambassador hotel pattaya for 4 nights, from 16th to 20th July However, I ended up checking out 1 night early check-out on 19th July due to the extremely poor level of service and cleanliness at your hotel.
The overall experience was extremely disappointing and far below my expectations. The room was not clean when I arrived, with visible dirt and debris on the floors The housekeeping service during my stay was also subpar, I found the majority of the staff, aside from the front desk, to be unhelpful and unpleasant. Several times I requested assistance or had questions, only to be met with rude and dismissive responses from employees.
In the end, the poor conditions and treatment made my stay unbearable, leading me to check out early and find alternative accommodation. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I did not receive the level of satisfaction I had expected and paid for.
I hope you will look into these issues and take corrective action to improve the quality of your hotel.

Here is a short review of your hotel stay:

The hotel experience was disappointing. The room was not clean, with visible dust and dirt throughout. The service was poor, with staff frequently denying our reasonable requests. Overall, it was an unpleasant stay due to the lack of cleanliness and unhelpful attitude of the staff beside reception I would not recommend this hotel to others based on this experience.

I recommend to not stay here. With this price we could get better quality of facilities and services. I am giving only 1-2 stars for this Hotel. The facility is not fully operated but this could be understood due to the high competition. However the basic must be fulfilled.
- Pool facilities: no more towel on the pool and the laundry room is closed.“ This is what i got from service guys.
- The breakfast: the 1st place that i cannot eat egg. there is no egg ready to take we need to Q up for every 2 eggs/order. the egg cookers are not have sense of urgency and service mind, they cooked it slowly egg by egg and order by order. They don’t care how long of the Q. Moreover one of operator said it is a policy for saving eggs. Additionally, There are only 3 side dishes for breakfast and bad quality of coffee.
- The bedroom: The blankets are stiff and the temperature of air conditioner cannot be adjusted (only low/medium/high for fan are customizable). They suggested to shut it down if u feel so cold instead of giving the temperature adjusted. Moreover there’s no facial tissue, only toilet tissue is available.

Sorry we will never go there again.

Not worth the price. Almost 2000 baht with such a terrible room. Far from the city, terrible breakfast, too noisy. I could even hear what other people in the next room talking. The door in the middle can be opened through another room. Not safe at all.
