The location of the hotel was very far from the center, it is very difficult to get to the hotel if not with a motorcycle, and the hotel does not have free shuttle services to the center.
There are taxis to the central area at a very expensive and unreasonable price.
In addition, the hotel staff was very impatient, unfriendly and unhelpful. They did not respond to any request we asked of them and there were several times when we arrived at reception and there was no one there.
Third thing, the hotel has a lot of stairs, not suitable for the disabled/elderly and I think it should be written.
Fourth thing, the hotel's internet was bad, it didn't work in the rooms nor at the reception.
When we asked for help to see what could be done, there was no response from the employees.
On the first day we arrived, we asked the reception to check if there was gluten-free food (I'm allergic to gluten) and she told us yes.
The next day we came for breakfast and there was nothing gluten free, the employees didn't even know what it was.
When we asked the reception to cancel breakfast because I didn't have anything to eat there, we didn't get any response or help. And in addition, the breakfast was very poor.
*in short,
One of the worst hotels I have ever been to.
A very bad experience and I would really like the hotel to improve in many things and then present itself as a five star hotel.*

Beware of booking your vacation at Jamahkiri dive resort!!

the worst experiance ever! the hotel was under MAJOR RENOVATION when we got there but there was no mention of it on their website or in our email correspondence.

When we complained about the noise to the hotel manager – she told us that we are bothering her and if we don’t like the noise we can find another hotel (it was the middle of the night and we were with 3 little children!!)

They are rude, they have the worst customer service ever, and will lie to your face just to take your money.

think 1000 times before making a reservation at this place. Worst hotel ever!!!!!

Absolutely brilliant! We loved it here, walk down and snorkel whenever you want, turtles every time you go out. Outstanding service, clean beautiful rooms, will definitely go back! Pool gorgeous and breakfast amazing.
Recommend eating at Eagle View instead of the hotel restaurant, 10th of the price, more tasty and stunning view!

Amazing place with a wonderful view and outstanding dive instructors
The resort will feel like climbing a mountain every day, so if you don't like hiking isn't the place for you, everywhere you go there are lots of steps.
The pool look amazing but it's full of chemicals and gave a rush to the kids.
Restaurant is nice but shockingly overpriced and without much choices.
Stuff is great everywhere.
There is no access to the beach.
The snorkeling experience, right off the hotel is breathtaking

I got a room here at place on a great last minute deal (around $76 USD per night). One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in my life. Can’t imagine what a place like this would cost in the west. Super nice service at the front desk as well as at the pool (which is amazing), great snorkelling, room service, big sea view balconies with every room, and honestly some of the nicest views on the island. We were able to check in 2 hours early and hang around for a bit after we checked out of our room.

Here are my 2 negative points:

-location isn’t the best if you want to go to the beach and it’s a pretty bad location if you want to go out, although they do have transportation taxis 3 times a day. So, you might be a little dependent on the restaurant which isn’t the best food I’ve had on this island but it’s not bad, and maybe a touch expensive (like 280 bhat for pad Thai). If you want to stay where it’s a bit more lively I’d recommend staying near the west coast.
-we didn’t have outlets near the bed which was a bit annoying.

Conclusion:
This was a 10/10 place for me and my girlfriend who are backpacking and just wanted to check into a nice resort for a couple nights before going to another hostel. I’d be surprised if you’d be able to find anything much better than this on the island. Also seems like a good place for kids/families.

A great place to stay on the lovely island of Koh Tai. We had a Deluxe Pavilion and stayed in three persons as a family. The rooms had traditional interior and created a very comfortable environment. Since we had been located close to the swimming pool and to the restaurant, we had not issues at all with the stairs. The view from the hotel had been fantastic.

We stayed in both the Villas and also a standard room and there is a BIG difference between both. The villas are very modern and spacious with lovely views. they have a private pool and although not all are "beachfront" (the higher two look onto the roofs of the lower two villas and then out to the ocean)

However, the standard rooms left much to be desired. The outdated pink tiles in the bathroom and the tired red decor didn't quite match the modern feel of the Villas. While the balcony boasted nice views, the air conditioning unit was constantly dripping onto the cupboards and floor. It seemed like a chronic issue given the swollen wood on the ceiling. Despite bringing it up with the staff, there was little concern shown.

On the upside, the hotel's location is pleasant, offering privacy. But if you plan on exploring restaurants or beaches, be prepared for taxi expenses to add up quickly unless you have your own transportation like a bike.

One thing to note for those considering this hotel: be ready for a workout. With over 200 steps just to reach breakfast each morning, you'll find yourself climbing stairs at every turn.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view. Front desk stuff and breakfast are super friendly and nice. Pool stuff is not nice at all, they put bills on your room which you don’t have and really start a discussion to get towels. For this price the hotel really needs to train their stuff at the pool as it’s a lot of money. If I wouldn’t care about this behavior I would book a hostel and save my money. Been here last year and it was a real 5 star experience but with the experience this years I am really struggling to give them 3 stars instead of 2

We had the pleasure of staying at Jamahkiri recently and loved everything about the hotel. We were fortunate to be able to dive with them for 2 days as well and I have nothing but great things to say about the dive club. The operation is so well run, they offer great equipment to use, excellent dive guides, and a nice boat that is so much nicer than the large crowded boats you see all over the island. We had great dives with guides that were so experienced and safe and the crew was so hard working to get us ready for all our dives. We had a blast and highly recommend them for anyone looking to get some dives in, or take certification classes.

A beautiful scenic resort and the SELLING point!Everywhere you stand you can see the magical ocean view.

Breakfast is average, really wished they provided better (real) coffee, but there are fruits, eggs, bread - the basics.

The rooms are spacious, however the details were not there - not much electrical plugs, and not located well. AC is older so it takes a long time to cool the room. Basic shampoo/soap/conditioner- better to have brought own. No body lotion.

Pool is beautiful, however many children during our stay. Didn’t get to use because it was crowded.

Many many steps/stairs to walk - can be a pro and con to some but at least we can strengthen our legs here and burn more calories 😆

If you rent a motorcycle- the staff can help with that when you check in. Just make sure you are a strong driver - and be extra careful coming up and down the steep road - i also imagine it is very slippery and dangerous if rained.

Overall I was actually expecting the hotel to be a bit nicer/newer but cannot complain due to the beautiful location. We enjoy the more quiet side and it only takes 10 mins with motorcycle to the center.

The staffs are very kind, hope to see improvements on the buildings, amenities, and breakfast. Again, breathtaking views and right on the beach where you can do some snorkeling.
