The resort was within walking distance of the pier, at the end of the road to the right when disembarking from the ferry. Quiet with a gorgeous White Sand beach, but a 5 minute walk away from town. Along the beach are several nice little bars and restaurants. Rooms are clean an spacious. People in the hotel are friendly, but if you need questions answered walk to the seven eleven down the road and pick up the koh Tao complete guide.

The room is good but a little bit too small comparing to the price. View outside is stunning. It's good for couple rather than family trip due to the design of bathroom. Great service, wonderful rooms. The staff was very nice, surprised me with special service for my birthday. One thing to note is that it's up the hill (~10-15 min walk) from the main road of shops and the resort consists of lots of stairs. They do have a shuttle, but not that frequent. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6 nights! The position of the hotel is such that you will need a moped but the hotel offers free shuttles which we used once and it worked well. The views are breathtaking you don't need to be anywhere else for sunset! Amazing experience at Sai Daeng resort!! Staff was so kind , beach is amazing , clear water amazing views and almost empty! On the other side of the resort there is an amazing place to snorkel , we saw probably 20/30 different species of fish and sea animals! A great place to stay on the lovely island of Koh Tai. We had a Deluxe Pavilion and stayed in three persons as a family. The rooms had traditional interior and created a very comfortable environment. Since we had been located close to the swimming pool and to the restaurant, we had not issues at all with the stairs. The view from the hotel had been fantastic.

We stayed in both the Villas and also a standard room and there is a BIG difference between both. Loved the location... It's secluded, has a lot to offer in terms of views and activities. The staff is the most sweetest and courteous. They were very helpful in arranging things. We stayed 4 nights in the hotel and the experience was great! It has many restaurants and bars around, it is also easy to rent a bike close to the hotel and they have an exclusive parking spot for guests. The room was very spacious and has a nice balcony.

Me and my two mates really enjoyed our stay here. Chill and quiet enough to sleep but a few mins walk from all the bars/restaurants. There are two pools and a deck for sitting on for sunset, with direct access to the beach too.

Lovely suite of rooms. Really helpful staff. One cockroach and some broken boards by the pool, but otherwise a lovely hotel. Some noise from the local party hotels until 2am, but far enough away that this wasn't a problem with earplugs. Kids loved the ease of access to the sea for snorkeling.

Nice located hotel with private beach and very close to the shops. They offer beautiful view from the restaurant, but unfortunately not from the rooms due to the surrounding trees. Upon our arrival we were told that our room is not available but instead we were offered different and bigger for the same price so I can't complain. Our room was huge and was like The Treehouse Mansion built into the rocks with a private beach with great snorkeling and also private stairs from your room down to the water. The hotel owner and staff are excellent. Although the hotel is not directly on the beach, they offer motorbike rentals, making it easy to explore the entire island. The street in front of the hotel has many places to eat, and there is a convenience store nearby. If you value privacy, I highly recommend this place. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was average, but there were loads of places to walk to along the beach. Breakfast was good, with lots of self service options. If you are fussy about coffee, you may need to go elsewhere.

We stayed in the family villa with pool which was great. Amazing right on the beach. Resort feels run down and almost like a scene from far cry! Rooms lacked maintenance (locks not working, hot water etc). Restaurant was pretty average but an amazing spot. Unfortunately it spelt badly of grey water likely due to rain. Feels like it needs big $ spent to bring back to a higher standard. Great to be close...

We had SUCH a lovely time for our honeymoon at this resort. It is magical. The staff are so helpful and very, very friendly. We stayed in the white sand villa.
