A wonderful stay, everyone is so friendly, the superior rooms are amazing. Location is just away from the hustle and bustle but only a few minutes walk. You are straight in the beach, you can book scooters and all trips through the helpful reception. Wonderful stay and highly recommended xxxxx

6/10 and not recommended.
Reasonable price- less then 100$ a night as Koh tao is a pricy island.
Value for money- somewhere in the middle.
Cant say you get a good deal for what you pay, but also its not bad.
location is ok.
on the very end of sairee- not bad but also not that good. Walking to center would take too long.
If you have a scooter - getting around is quick and easy.
Bungalow is nice, having a small balcony and place to dry your clothes.
Comfy bed.
Major Cons:
- LACK of service attitude & not friendly staff.
Before booking I saw some review about bad staff attitude, being not nice, not smiling etc. They were right!!!
Upon arriving and after a very long way (directly from Chiang may) we wished to do check in and take a rest.
The resort manager explained all essentials at the front desk, but tried too much selling us tours.
We explained we are tired and want to check in first, so the lady then started to offer us the resort bike rentals
(She also wanted 300 a day for honda click while you can get it 180-200 a day outside the hotel).
Not cool.
At another time we took a cocktail on the beach.
Resort bartender gave us that look and asked "only one?"
Not cool & pathetic. Know your place, do your job and DO NOT push your guest to buy services if they don't want to.
Very rude and bad attitude which I never encountered in Thailand and that's my 3rd time visiting here- never.
Resort staff that simply want to sell you and dont really care about their guests.
Absolutely poor attitude.
- Bungalow - very old and small. Every step you make you hear the entire bungalow shaking.
Doors are old, not closing all the way.
- Shower - very bad and too old design. floor is un-even, so after every use there will be water remains all over.
To wash your hands you have to stand in the shower. Hot water- not always.
Overall - not recommended.

Very nice place in a more quiet area of the Koh Tao westside. It's not always easy to communicate with the employees, but they are always ready to help. The rooms and sunbeds could see some sort of renovation or repair. Rooms are spacious and clean, AC works well. Overall a cool place to stay!

Lovely location on the beach front. A beach walk to the hustle of downtown with great bars and restaurants along the way. Amazing sunsets. Food was great for breakfast and lunch. Staff were helpful. Rooms had lovely verandas, great air con (a must), clean and spacious. Beds large and comfy. I wish I was back there.

This is a fab location and the rooms are lovely!
The lady who manages/owns the resort is quite grumpy, dont expect too much customer care.
Go snorkeling right around the rocks on the right hand side, stunning coral garden!! We saw the Harlequin Sweetlips fish every day.
Warning: watch out for the cup of mud at breakfast... i think its supposed to be coffee 🤣🤣

The resort is at a calm side of the beach, rooms clean and walking distance to the city center.
Daily room service with clean towels and bed sheets. The bed is good and rooms have sufficient space with small terrace.
However pls be informed we faced following problems:
- Bad smell at times at this part of the beach (as per hotel staff there is something going into the water close to the beach - waste or dirty water).
- Trash everywhere behind the bungalows, where staff lives
- very old room, bathroom and furniture
- restaurant/ kitchen is very poor, better to walk 10 min to the city
- no reception service after 5 pm
- Resort is managed by 2 older ladies (sisters) that speak very limited English, are lacking manners and even rude facing complains (I was asked to stop bothering and to go away...)
Reason for my complains:
- construction works starting 7.30 am (not informed prior visit)
- scooter rental: pay attention, fuel is empty when starting
All in all I believe the resort is quite old and survives due to the high demand on the island, but I do not recommend it unless you are ready to ignore some problems and be treated like a naive tourist.

A bit of an oasis in a madding sea... The Palm Leaf Resort is at the far end of Sairee Beach, about a ten minute walk from the center of action. The Palm Leaf's comfortable bungalows (good AC, pleasant front porches for a shady sit), and multi unit condos run back from a section of beach lined with a couple of dozen beach loungers. It's the next-to-last resort in the beach, the next being a higher end resort with slightly fancier facilities; you get most of the value from the more affordable Palm Leaf.
The onsite restaurant does a passable breakfast (we didn't try other meals) and really excellent smoothies and coconut shakes. We found the staff initially a little brusque, but finally quite pleasant and helpful.
Kho Tao is a bustling, party-oriented town, with a great range of restaurants and street stalls. The bustle can be navigated around for the most part, and staying at the Palm Leaf means you can dip in and out for meals or happy hour, then escape to a calm, comfortable place for the night, and the beachfront is a lovely way to pass a day.

We stayed in one of the bungalows which were amazing! This hotel is a little hidden gem, it’s about a 15 minute walk to the main area, but the walk is along the beach and there are lots of beach bars on the way.
The view from the hotel bar is incredible, we would highly recommend this and are already dreaming about going back!

Palm leaf resort on Koh Tao is a great place to stay. It is located near the end of Sairee Beach, ( the quieter end ) of the beach. Having said that, it is very much walkable and easy to be in the middle of things very quickly. We enjoyed the location of the resort a lot. The beach was very well maintained and clean. The ocean was clear and calm during our stay which gave us a great opportunity to do some snorkeling and get to explore out along the rocky coast to the north of the beach. The Resort staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was fantastic with a perfect view. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a few relaxing days. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

You must go to this fabulous restaurant. Four of us had dinner on the beach terrace this evening. It was absolutely delicious! We couldn't believe the restaurant wasn't completely full.
We've been to several restaurants on Koh Tao and this one is by far the best we have been to.
