Koh Kood Resort

The resort is in a good location on Bang Bao beach but other than that there’s nothing good about it. We stayed for a total of 3 nights but the housekeeping did not clean our room once. The breakfast was not good, they didn’t offer any cheese or pastries and the omelettes they are making are made just with eggs no onion, pepper, tomato etc. based on what they serve at their overpriced deck bar, they know how to make western food but they prefer you pay for it and not get it ‘for free’ at breakfast. The watermelon and other fruit shakes cost 160bht at the resort but on nearby resorts they cost between 80-100bht. Last night was our last and we went to the deck bar for a last drink only to be told that there are no places to seat because the covered area was occupied and there was no space since the rest was covered because it rained like 1-2 hours ago. They didn’t even bother to make space for us since the bar is closing at 11pm and there was no rain anymore. Note there is nothing nearby except 1-2 other resorts and the nearest restaurant is like 10mins walk and everything closes at 9pm. So we had no choice but to go to our room. I would suggest you visit a different resort where prices are more rational,service is better and they value their customers. Last but not least, the mattress we slept on was so old it felt like it was completely flat and we were sleeping on rocks. My back will need a long time to recover.

Not Even 2 Stars – A Complete Disaster

We booked this resort last minute due to lack of options elsewhere, and despite the decent reviews, it turned out to be a terrible choice. This place isn’t even worthy of 2 stars.
The so-called “superior” bungalow was awful—tiny, poorly maintained, with a broken shower and a toilet that kept clogging. When the staff came to fix it, they didn’t even bother to clean up after themselves. Most of the staff didn’t speak English, forcing us to rely on a translation app for even the simplest requests. To make matters worse, they didn’t change the towels or provide any cleaning services during our stay ( 4 nights during Christmas)
The Mediterranean breakfast was a joke: extremely limited selection, instant coffee, and low-quality products. The services were also shockingly inadequate. There weren’t enough sunbeds for all guests, leading to the usual frustration of people claiming them early and leaving others without. Additionally, the resort doesn’t provide beach towels, which is inexcusable at this price point.
The lack of a proper beach was another major disappointment. You can only access the water via a ladder or a pier. The water itself was greenish and unappealing, especially on cloudy days, making the entire experience feel far from the advertised paradise.
As if all of this weren’t bad enough, we were kept awake for hours in the middle of the night by the loud motor of a vaporizer system.
I understand this is a 3-star resort, and I wasn’t expecting luxury, but considering the prices in Thailand, this 3-star resort charges way too much for what is essentially 1-star service. Save yourself the frustration and stay elsewhere.
