Siam Beach Resort Koh Kood

Our 8 day stay at this resort was a pleasure. I booked quite late for the New Year week and didn't have to much expectations. But the bungalow was great, fresh, bright and basically beach-front. All the staff from the front desk to, the resturant and the other service personnel was very friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing, crystal clear water, white sand surrounded by dense green jungle. There is also a very chill beach club/bar next to or connected to the resort restaurant, which is very nice. I will recommend this place for a spotless stay.

Hotel (Very Good!)
Can be confusing to book a room here because they have many different room types of various ages and standards, from the most basic rustic fan rooms with no screens, to brand spanking new beach front villas with small private pools. We had the latter for an exceptionally low price, and we loved our stay here.

Pros of the hotel and our room: directly on a quiet beach, with easy access to the main road, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, great cocktail bar (run by an outside party), friendly helpful staff, and they accept credit cards for all charges on the resort (including the restaurant, but excluding the cocktail bar) with a 3% surcharge.

Points needing improvement: communication from the hotel was not as proactive as our previous hotel (we received no details in advance regarding transfer, etc), the new room we stayed in, while nicely designed, is missing some essential features such as toilet paper holder, towel bars, clothes hooks, etc. You can only lock them from the back, but it's too dark to walk the back way at night. Some final tweaks and improvements are definitely needed.

Restaurant (Poor)
The restaurant is also not well run. They should find an outside party to take over the restaurant like they have done with the cocktail bar. The floor and seating are in bad shape. Old furniture not well maintained. The staff do not help to seat larger groups together, etc. No cushions for the seats. Half the seats were left wet after a rain. They are missing some basic food items like broccoli, and they serve the worst ketchup in Thailand - Roza. Beers are badly overpriced (90 for a small bottle, compared to 100 for big bottles in other restaurants and resorts).

We got a seafront bungalow on what is definitely the nicest beach on the island. Stunning views all around and crystal clear water. First class room kept well and clean throughout our stay. Good food at the beach side restaurant and a chill out bar too. Will definitely go back. Very friendly and helpful staff

I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very friendly and pretty fluent in English. They bring your luggage to the rooms, you have beach towels and a little bag to go to the beach. Rooms are clean and cosy. The restaurant serves good meals and the beach is just awesome. They helped us out with our boat booking :-) cant thank them enough

For $166.00 AUD this was excellent. We had a beachfront room with beautiful views of the bay. The food was excellent and room service didn’t cost any extra, just the same reasonable prices of the resort. It’s low season so there was a rainy day, but otherwise really loved this place. Thank you for a great stay.

This resort is located on one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. The resort itself was recently renovated and updated, everything is new and in excellent condition. The 'H' cabins (little wooden ones directly on the beach) are beautiful and have all the frills (AC, TV, fridge,...).

The young people who run this place are friendly and professional. Breakfast is great and we loved the free Kayaks/SUP (1 hour a day).

Only thing that annoyed me was the noise level in the evenings (music from the resort across the bay) and early mornings (loud boats). I understand that this is not in the power of the resort to change. However, if you are looking for total tranquility, then you might be better off in one of the smaller, more remote bays.

I recommend snorkeling in the rocks on the left side of the bay (past the dock).

Came here for lunch. They have a big open air space. Free wifi. Eat by the beach. Tried the pad see ew and fried fish with tamarind paste which was more like tamarind soup with a good amount of vegetables. Asking for no spicy will get you medium spicy. Food was tasty. Fresh coconut was not on the menu but they still sold one to us. They also sold homemade ice cream with a variety of flavors. We tried the coconut sorbet and watermelon. They were icy and refreshing.

Touristy but still a dream!

After being a little disappointed from our first place at Koh Kood (neverland beach) we looked for something different. Nicer beach. A little more cozy. We rented a scooter and explored the island, its beaches and resorts. Im totally into very basic sheds with a good value price rate. If it wasnt for my travelpartner i would have ended up at „sand and sea“ resort.

Siam Beach Resort was the compromise. The bungalows are renovated during c19 and some newer ones habe been added. We ended up in one of the new ones and we loved it.

The bungalows all come with ac and warm
water. Most of them with a small porch and two hammock chairs. An additional clothes rack comes in handy for drying some of your stuff.

The resort beach is by far one of the most beautiful of Koh Kood. Endless rows of palm trees, shallow blue clear water, a walking pier and one of the best bars we visited on the island.

If it wasnt fir the mediocre breakfast, id have rated the siam beach with five stars. The buffet is simple and without any surprises. On an island the size of Koh Kood i expected a little more. Normally im easy satisfied if there is good coffee. But theres only a Nescafe-Machine that serves a variety of instant coffee. Too bad, for the kitchen of Siam Beach was not bad at all. We ended up finding better places for breakfast.

But thats complaining on very high level. the staff is friendly and always in for help and tipps.

For snorkeler and divers: Theres a small bungalow at the reception where you can easily book diving or snorkeling trips.

Oh and i forgot: At our stay in 2022, the use of one stand up paddeling board for one hour was included in the room price! Dont miss out on that!!

We absolutely had the best time here! What an amazing place. The moment we set foot here we immediately came to rest. The beachhouses are perfect. Super clean and lovely interior. We slept like a rose during our stay. Every morning when we woke up we walked into the serene calm sea. The complaints I read about palmtrees blocking the view?! I don't understand why that's even a problem... it's perfect because they block the very bright sunlight sometime! Breakfast here is OK, we had better (can be an improvement 😉). Staff is very friendly, but reception speaks poor English which made it hard sometimes to ask for things. But all in total very nice stay, one of the best on Koh Kood.
