Wendy the Pool Resort @ Koh Kood

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. The wooden huts were very clean and well maintained. They had a lovely porch/balcony to sit on. The huts are minimal but have everything you should need.

Wendy the Pool belongs to the same group as Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Tinker Bell. It has unusual architecture and doesn't quite fit in with its surroundings from the outside, but offers plenty of space per room and a private terrace with direct access to the enormous pool. Only 11 rooms and one pool villa. Large, comfortable beds, a large bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower. Towels are changed daily. Effective and quiet air conditioning. Although very expensive, it offers many free extras: an excellent breakfast by Thai standards with Western and Thai offerings, including soups and plenty of fresh fruit; free coffee and tea all day, in the room and next to reception; there is also a toaster with toast, butter, and jam available all day. The restaurant is open until 8:30 p.m. and offers excellent quality food. The room has a refrigerator with two cans of Coke or similar and two juices, as well as enough bottled water to last the whole day. Despite plenty of space on the beach, there aren't enough loungers and umbrellas if all 22 guests want access to the beach. At least three more would be needed. A beautiful, fine sandy beach and a clear, turquoise sea. Very friendly and helpful staff, although they finish work at 9 p.m. After that, there's nothing left from the kitchen or cellar. But since Koh Kood isn't a destination for big evening entertainment anyway, you just get used to going to bed earlier. Room tip: Rooms 9-11 have afternoon sun and a sunset view from the terrace!

Beautiful Boutique Hotel at a beautiful beach. Very attentive and friendly staff. Big rooms. Great food. Loved the entertainment technology in the rooms.
It’s little details that I would work on: train the staff to speak English, keep the area (surroundings) cleaner. Especially the entrance area when you drive in looks horrible and smells. The generator from the neighbor hotel (High Season) is incredibly noisy, we even changed rooms after 1 night..

My husband and I loved staying here for 2 weeks. The service was exceptional and they accommodated our requirements.
It was a reasonable price and it was cleaned daily, if required.
The breakfasts were soo delicious and full of flavour.
Motorbike hire was good to and it's a 3-5 minute walk to thr most beautiful beach on the island.

We loved Wendy The Pool
We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Wendy. It’s a boutique resort on stunning beach and a wonderful place to relax as a family or a couple. The rooms were lovely and actually bigger than expected - the high ceilings are nice too. Walking out to your deck and into a massive pool is great. The restaurant right on the beach has a small but delicious menu. We particularly loved their the mango, coconut, and pineapple shakes. The breakfast buffet was always good with lots of variety.

The staff are friendly and eager to help. As it’s a small resort they personally know all the guests quickly. Not all the staff know much English but this was never a problem and if there is an issue one of the two managers will quickly be able to assist.

The beach is simply spectacular. Powdery sand, clear warm water that is sometimes as still as a pool. Never too crowded. It’s a short walk to the main road where there are a few other cafes, restaurants and simple shops. There are two ATM’s on the main road.

If you’ve never been too Koh Kood, it’s a quiet island and not to place to go for nightlife. Getting around will require a rented scooter or hiring a private taxi through the hotel.

Nice room and a great beach. The beds were very hard and the staff's English was not great. The pool was clean and there was a lovely calmness about the resort.

Everything was perfect during our stay at Wendy's. Beautiful large bedroom with high ceiling. Huge swimming pool, immediate proximity to the sea. Paradise seaside…bar, restaurant, everything is easy to access. The attentive staff. And the icing on the cake, every evening a magnificent sunset…. We will come back to it I hope. Thanks Wendy!
