Layana Resort & Spa - Adult Only - SHA Extra Plus

Incredible resort with a fantastic beach, two great pools and excellent staff. Sunsets are gorgeous from the resort. The fitness center was decent. They also offer a complimentary shuttle from Krabi airport.

Rooms were large and well equipped with multiple seating areas. The balcony is a plus.

Only two negatives, the first in which I hope they rectify before we visit again, was the lack of vegan options. The second, the shared walls were thin and we could hear the conversations of those next door.

We had a lovely stay at Layana.

The resort is lovely, with a beautiful pool and beach.

All staff are very friendly from reception through to the gardeners - they all stop to say hello when you pass.

The general manager Franck is often seen around the resort and is there to greet you on check in and to see you off when you depart.

House keeping is great, constantly replenishing supplies like insect repellent. It was actually a very cute touch that they have their own insect repellent.

There is plenty of water provided and topped up in the bedrooms and the pool boys bring around ice water frequently / whenever asked.

One thing I have to note is the boat trips they offer. Having been on a number of these before, this one was very well prepared with towels, picnic blankets per couple, full on plates and glassware, a buffet. All delicious and very well done.

We had a small issue with the water temperature in our room which was quickly resolved by the team.

It’s very easy to visit places outside of the resort - reception will boom you a taxi and then the driver gives you his contact details so you can WhatsApp him anytime eg if you go out for dinner etc. I really recommend Yawee (delicious, bargain Thai food) and Yang Garden (more up market, Asian inspired). I would AVOID the massage place that’s just to the right of the hotel when looking at the beach, it was awful (not the hotels fault of course, just flagging for other guests who fancy an on the beach sunset massage!)

My only nit is that the pillows were a bit flat!

This high-end resort is pretty much impeccable and hard to fault. The rooms are extremely clean, large and have some pleasantly surprising features - including a ceiling fan both over the bed and in the balcony.
The pool is great: large, clean and with plenty of seating. Nice (if slightly expensive, but to be expected) food menu. I appreciated the great service and water refills.

We have just don't 8 nights stay at Layana as part of our honeymoon and what a fantastic stay it has been. We arrived to a decorated bed and a complimentary bottle of bubbly from the team. Our room wasn't ready when we first arrived due to this, and we were given complimentary drinks at the bar. The breakfast is excellent with an abundance of choice and the option of specialist coffees which really added that extra special touch. The hotel itself is exceptionally presented. It is a calm and serene oasis, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the nearby bars and restaurants. However the main positive that we have taken from this trip was the incredible hospitality from the team at the resort. They are incredibly hardworking, polite and nothing is too much trouble. We were warmly greeted by everyone from the general manager to the gardeners during our stay. Every member of staff that we have passed during our stay has taken the time to smile and say hello which really speaks volumes. We cannot fault our stay at Layana, it has been perfect! Thank you for making our honeymoon extra special!

Our stay at the Resort was very pleasant and relaxing. The Resort is beautiful, being very well integrated with the surrounding environment and landscape. The Garden Pavillion was spacious, nicely decorated and very well kept, having all the necessary amenities. All staff was extremely nice, attentive and polite. Our spa experience was very calming and soothing. The breakfast was good and varied, allowing for a different experience every day. Our dinners at the SeaSky restaurant were good. The food had a very good presentation and was tasty, however, there is room for improvement. The two pools are beautiful, well-maintained and peaceful, never being crowded. The shuttle is extremely comfortable. Once again, from Frank (the General Manager) to the person responsible for the upkeep of the outside areas/landscape, all staff is to be commended for their excellent job and extreme kindness.

Clean, quiet, suitable for a very leisurely life.

We spent 3 wonderful days here at the beach villa and felt like we were in paradise. The whole hotel complex is fantastic, an exceptionally beautiful location on this beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear waters. The staff were very well trained, very pleasant and accommodating. Great food. The architecture of the villa was very well thought out, we especially liked the outdoor showers.

We are very impressed with this story that the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere in the room is excellent, there are all the amenities, even speakers that listen to music. The beach is clean, the sea water is clear. Sit out during dinner in the hotel's restaurant, listening to the sound of the waves and music. Loved it here. Definitely have a chance to go again.

I love this place. Visited it twice. A 5 star boutique resort with great gym, pools and beach. Not crowded, close to town and very peaceful. Service is excellent. Rooms, beds, linens, etc top notch.
