Monkey Island Resort Koh Mak

1 star for its location, restaurants & shops super close by & 2nd start for her food! Other than that it was a real disappointment, nothing like its forever glory in 2018. Yes, Corona happen but it seems that the priorities are set on smoking 🍃 rather than looking after the property. The few huts that have been rebuilt look great on first sight but its damp inside, the mattress is harder than the ground and there are plants growing through the floor. The old bar is completely destroyed and no attempted had been made to rebuild. Sad! Hopefully it returns to its former glory and we can come back then.

I think this place has seen better days. The location is great, right on the beach, but there are better budget options on the island. I stayed in a bungalow with a shared bathroom which seemed dirty, had lots of mosquitoes and you were lucky to find toilet paper. The manager also seemed to be a combination of rude /confused/incompetent. Also they play live music until late at night, so keep that in mind if that's not your thing.

T'he matress of iron inside are too old and dirty, very disgusting, even in the bungalows of 37€.
The shared toilets, the lamps too dirty, the showers, cold water and only work half of them.
The air fan is not working. The bungalow n12 has not shadow in all day.
Music (loud) every night until midnight, you're gonna sleep after, not before.
I can't understand how can ask for 45€ per night beside the night bar.
I came here for the good price and because is out of center but would not come back here.
Today had not fresh juice for breakfast! (?)
The island very quiet. Good for little kids, but teens are getting bored.
