We stayed 6 nights here for our honeymoon and it was beyond amazing.
The staff in particular were the best, especially Joy, who helped us relocate rooms when we needed to. The daily buffet breakfast was also great and the Thai dinner was delicious. We also had signature massages and could not fault them - so relaxing. The gym is also a good size and has some new equipment and treadmills.
The location is remote however Cape Panwa is a short walk and there are heaps of good and cheap restaurants close by.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The rooms are well-maintained but show signs of aging. The staff was excellent and always willing to help. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the in-room bathtub because the hot water ran brown continuously and couldn’t be fixed before the end of our stay.

We LOVED our stay at Amatara. The resort grounds were very well kept, our villa was always immaculate, the private pool was perfect! Breakfast buffet and specially all the staff that worked there were so friendly and willing to make your stay so happy.

Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a fantastic experience. The Bay view pool villa was a beautiful room and view. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any request we had. The only downside to speak of is this restaurants on site. They don't match up with the rest of the 5 star experience, however there was amazing food just outside of the site or a short drive to old phuket town so this doesn't diminish the experience at all.

This hotel is truly outstanding! Our room was both spacious and luxurious, perfectly combining comfort and elegance. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with exceptional hospitality and impeccable service. The breakfast buffet was a true delight, offering a wide variety of choices, from fresh pastries and Asian dishes to salads, fruits, and juices. The spa experience was truly relaxing, and the breathtaking views of the sun and moon made our stay even more memorable. They also surprised me with a birthday cake, which added such a thoughtful and special touch to our visit. Every detail of our stay was remarkable and truly unforgettable. Thank you so much!

7 nights. Overall a 5 star and lovely time, we definitely come back. Very nice smiles and service especially Mr. Boon at reception and a lady on the morning shift. My two children looked forward to seeing them every day. Also the view and pool were great. Very quiet and luxurious place to stay. The breakfast was very variety and fresh vegetables and juices were my favorite. The yoga on the last day was also very good. I wish I had joined sooner. The kids club staff and activities are also very good. They changed the activities according to our requests and our kids came home every day with smile.

The room air conditioning temperature is kind of hard to adjust that is cool for us. And the restaurant service staff (both female and male) at the "scene" are 2 stars. It lowers impression of the hotel.

Breakfast buffet was great there’s a wide spread of options from pastries to Asian to salads, fresh fruits and juices. In-room dining was delicious too. Service is great, staff were polite and extremely helpful.
Unfortunately the room allocated to me (id booked the bay view suite) was on the lower floor.. so.. my view of the bay was reduced to only trees and whatever “bay” I saw was whatever little bit of water (and only during high tide) I could see through the leaves of the trees. So there was really NO DECENT VIEW at all. Additionally the room wasn’t even cleaned properly - there were marks on the table and upon wiping down with my wet wipes, the wipes turned into a disgusting black colour!! Extremely disappointed as I expected a proper decent bay view and cleaner room for the price I’ve paid. Maybe they should name these rooms the “tree view chalet” and charge them at a cheaper rate instead of “bay view suite”.
Location wise be prepared to pay for your grab/cabs if you are not planning to drive as it is quite a distance from attractions like the old town or popular beaches. However if you’d like to just chill at an extremely quiet area then this is your place - maybe just request for a higher floored or a room with unblocked view to make your money worth. And do remember to wipe down your tables.

Wow! 5 star treatment from start to finish. I had done thorough research and happy chose this place. If you are coming with family to relax and spend quality time together, and be pampered, look no where else. It is a bit far from the hassle and bustle, but if you want that then stay in Patong. We did that before and prefer this side of the island. The beauty is majestic. The hotel staff goes out of their way to take care of things. Stay on the west side, we took Villa with pool and family didn’t want to leave the place. It is huge resort well maintained and you wake up to the sound of the birds.

Nice hotel away from tourist areas. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet. Clean, spacious rooms. Large spa center with reasonable prices.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Amatara for 13 days. The service was great and all staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. My room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the sea. Some days I would wake up early in the morning (around 6 AM) to sounds of staff outside talking quite loudly outside my room.
