The beach is quiet and beautiful. We enjoy free 1-hour rowing and swimming pool there. The highlight of the trip is Seafood platter. Staffs are generous giving us 2 free drinks and a memorable photo. This hotel is worth staying at. Once we checked in the room we had a water leakage problem and when told the reception staff they were really helpful and gave us an upgrade in the next day. Really lovely people and the place itself is clean, quiet and spacious. The restaurant was not running when we stayed but staff would still bring you a beer by the pool if you wanted one. Once they get the restaurant up together and a bar this will be a fabulous little place.

Nice boutique hotel, clean and quaint with a lovely pool. Far away from main city and attractions, hard to get a ride but the front desk was helpful. I had a wonderful experience staying at Amatara for 13 days. The service was great and all staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. My room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the sea. Some days I would wake up early in the morning (around 6 AM) to sounds of staff outside talking quite loudly outside my room.

We stayed here for a night, and honestly, the only thing we regret was not staying here longer. Not all rooms have a sea view. Even if you think you’ve booked one you might not get it. Breakfast is good. Location very quiet. Pool is chilled. Not recommended for holidays of more than a few days. Very little to do. There’s a small gym but the A/c is not on until you put it on yourself so it’s too hot to exercise properly and there’s no floor space for stretching or mat work. Amazing hotel! It’s right on beach near a mangrove (hence the name). They have a great pool which is nicer to swim in however. If you want to use the sea then they you can use kayaks and their paddle boards for free. The rooms are clean and the grove bar is great

We had our honeymoon at The Mangrove and loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We actually enjoyed being further away from the hectic touristy areas and loved exploring the Panwa coast nearby. Breakfast was amazing. The only downside is that they seemed to have forgotten that it was our honeymoon! We arrived to two single beds and it took a couple of days for that to be resolved.

I didn't stay the night so can't comment on the rooms but such friendly staff, lovely drinks and can jump in the pool. Beach is lovely and the way they have set the place up is like a home away from home. Very reasonably priced... Will be back

Seaview room with open air bath tub. Private and quite atmosphere. Nice bay view from the room. Kayak and swimming pool are provided. Recommend for family or small group.

Went for Christmas Day with a group of friends, great package put together by the management, well looked after all day, evening and night. From this part of Phuket you get to watch the beautiful sunset and the live music was great too. Rooms are comfortable and its a large pool that overlooks the ocean.
