Everything about this hotel is much, much better than the website shows. It has beautiful rooms, incredible food options, stunning views, plentiful facilities, wonderful staff, shuttle services to town, and anything else you might want. I highly recommend this place.

Whilst the overall appearance outside is a bit dated, the rooms were stunning and modern, we had a huge suite with balcony and ocean view. The staff were lovely, respectful and very helpful. Amazing hotel! It’s right on beach near a mangrove (hence the name). They have a great pool which is nicer to swim in however. If you want to use the sea then they you can use kayaks and their paddle boards for free. The rooms are clean and the grove bar is great

We had our honeymoon at The Mangrove and loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We actually enjoyed being further away from the hectic touristy areas and loved exploring the Panwa coast nearby. Breakfast was amazing. The only downside is that they seemed to have forgotten that it was our honeymoon! We arrived to two single beds and it took a couple of days for that to be resolved.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Amatara for 13 days. The service was great and all staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. My room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the sea. Some days I would wake up early in the morning (around 6 AM) to sounds of staff outside talking quite loudly outside my room.

Don't expect a good view from this hotel but the staff are very polite and the services were great! The location is also good and the best way to travel places is to rent a bike. Try to get one from this hotel as we had an awesome experience.

Not all rooms have a sea view. Even if you think you’ve booked one you might not get it. Breakfast is good. Location very quiet. Pool is chilled. Not recommended for holidays of more than a few days. Very little to do. There’s a small gym but the A/c is not on until you put it on yourself so it’s too hot to exercise properly and there’s no floor space for stretching or mat work. It’s all pretty basic

Really lovely people and the place itself is clean, quiet and spacious. The restaurant was not running when we stayed but staff would still bring you a beer by the pool if you wanted one. Once they get the restaurant up together and a bar this will be a fabulous little place.

We arrived early and they had our room ready so they allowed us to check in early which was amazing! The buffet breakfast was great too, big variety and eggs cooked to your liking. Went for Christmas Day with a group of friends, great package put together by the management, well looked after all day, evening and night. From this part of Phuket you get to watch the beautiful sunset and the live music was great too. Rooms are comfortable and its a large pool that overlooks the ocean.

If you’re looking at this place here is what you need to know. First - the reviews for this hotel are very divergent. Some people like this and others just hate it. Both are correct and here is why: The owners have invested in design and facilities but the restaurant is just a canteen with a crowded feeling and very inferior to the rest of the hotel. Such a great experience with this hotel. The hotel is very nice. The pool is beautiful, the rooftop infinity pool is picturesque and the beach across the street is private and beautiful. The staff is also extremely helpful and kind. The knew we were on our honeymoon and set up a beautiful display on the bed when we checked in. Highly recommended!!
