Ayara Grand Palace Hotel

Overall good. Convenient to travel. Room is spacious and clean.

The hotel is good, clean and quiet. The staff gave good advice. There is parking available and it is convenient to find food.

Check-in was after 9pm, but there was no problem. I didn't know much about breakfast because I was staying overnight. There was no problem if you were staying normally.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the train station, where we arrived from Lopburi, and about 15 minutes from the bus station in the center (terminal 1, to terminal 2 outside the city take a taxi). Good location for walking around the city, while the hotel is located in the courtyard and it is quiet there. There is gel, shampoo, but no soap. Two bottles of water. Coffee, there is a kettle. Cleaning every day with a change of towels and consumables. Excellent breakfast.

Very strange reception. We came up and asked to call the bus station and order bus tickets for us to the next city. Usually this does not cause problems. For some reason they started telling us that the terminal is located outside the city and you need to go there by taxi and it is expensive, 100 baht (as if we offered them to go, and not call by phone). At the same time, during the discussion it turned out that tickets are sold on the day of and it is useless to go today, they will not sell them anyway. Denis insisted that it is easier for them to call and book a ticket for us. The porter was desperately slow and said twice that it was very far, then he called, but only asked the departure time. We said, ok, call and book. He started making excuses, saying that they would ask for your phone number, and I don’t know it. We wrote our numbers on a piece of paper, saying, call, here are our numbers. Why don’t you call yourself. Denis says that if they don’t speak English well there, like you do, we’ll just waste money, because no one will understand us. So, after half an hour of talking/persuading the porter, it turned out that tickets can be bought at Terminal 1, which is located in the city, a kilometer from the hotel. We went there, found a window where they sell these tickets, they cost 90 baht per person, but they sell them on the day of departure. At the same time, it turned out that you don’t need to go to Terminal 2, the bus goes through Terminal 1. Buses are at 6, 13 and 17 o’clock. Conclusion: the reception is completely unaware and is not very eager to work.

Nice and comfy, close by many attractions in Phitsanulok. Convenient location and friendly staff. Hence, no hair dryer. Affordable price for that location.

A decent and good hotel for a couple of nights. The rooms are spacious and in decent shape but in my room the aircon was very bad and very slow to cool the room down. The location is okay pretty close to market, restaurant, train station and 7/11. Pool area is better on pictures than in real life but still decent and useable. No possibily for early check in even though you have Agoda platinum vip membership as I found a bit odd cause the hotel was far from full.

Rooftop pool was ok, no food and drink available and the umbrellas was kind of broken and old. Good location and friendly staff.

Easy check-in, friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room, great breakfast.
