Getting out, you have to wait for a boat of 6 to be filled before the boat will depart, unless you pay 600baht for the driver to start his engine. This might incur some waiting unless you're willing to pay more.
Overall, was satisfied with the place but the difficulty to get in and out was stressful. Breakfast was above average and convenient
A total "value for money" place, nice spacious rooms, an "ok" bathroom with separate shower (didn't have high expectations in such location and such price) and an amazing beach restaurant.
A perfect option for romantic couples and families, with the amazing Railey Beach in walking distance.
Besides being unhappy serving tourists, they prefer their telephones than actually looking or talking to you, feels awfully strange.
Our room was nice but beware of the food: the doctor on premise (yes there is one!!) says he registers on average 3 new diarrhea cases per day 😱😳 but does not know where this is from.
Generally speaking, the place is kept very clean and the staff is very kind and helpful. However, the rooms has still no kettle or complimentary coffee/tea nor a hairdryer. Both can be borrowed from the reception but are not integral part of the room. The furniture is a bit battered and basic: there is only an open wardrobe with 4 hangers but no closed unit. I miss having a chair and table in the room; I used the balcony furniture which is rather uncomfortable.
The rooms has a well working aircon and a fridge. For the wifi you need to get a new voucher every few days.
The bathroom is a “all in one” room where tge shower is not separated and everything gets wet.
Altogether it’s a good place but needs a bit of refurbishing and modernisation.
