Akol Hotel

Great location, excellent staff, spacious rooms. Make sure to get a harbiye view if you can afford it

We stayed here whilst on a tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula and Troy. Could not fault it. It was exceptionally clean, great view, great location, on a busy area by the sea but very quiet. Breakfast varied and generous.

We drove through Canakkale on our way to visit the memorial for fallen Turkish soldiers and see the new extension bridge. We regret not staying longer at this beautiful hotel in the center of breathtaking Canakkale. The hotel is modern, extremely clean, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, well decorated and we had a partial view of the Aegean Sea from our window at the last minute booking. The staff were extremely welcoming, pleasant and helpful providing recommendations. The hotel staff embodied the wonderful hospitality of Canakkale towards its guests. There was great parking for our rental car in the back of the hotel. We dined at the rooftop fish restaurant inside the hotel. Not only did it have breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city and waterfront but they served by far the best Aegean food I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my entire life. I will never forget this restaurant and will come back to eat there again. But you need to reserve a terrace table in advance. They played wonderful Greek music and the mezes or Turkish appetizers were extraordinary. The following day we ate breakfast inside the hotel with equally charming views. This breakfast buffet included everything you could imagine and was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed having tea in the Turkish tea garden next door rather than the Starbucks inside the hotel. I absolutely loved the Akol Hotel. If I could give it higher than five stars I would. It was near the major attractions like the boardwalk, Trojan Horse statue, the liman or seaport, and the Troy Museum. It’s a great value and more tourists should visit this extremely important town representing Turkish history and culture.

This hotel is very, very nice. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. The location of the hotel was perfect, right on the Aegean sea with views of the water. My room had a balcony and it was so nice to be able to sit out in the evening and enjoy the views of the town. It also had a Starbucks right next door which was convenient. I overall enjoyed my stay here, it made me want to stay for a lot longer! The receptionist was also very kind and helpful :) thank you for a wonderful stay!

My tour group stayed in 5 different hotels over the course of our trip, and this was my favorite! Great location (easy access & good views), nice service, and spacious, well-kept rooms. Will book this hotel for my next stay!

There apartments were very cozy. They had a wide variety of food options and the view by the food court was amazing!

The hotel is very good. Despite it's some kind of old but everything is great. The rooms are clean and beds are neat.
The special thing about this hotel that each room has a balcony that you can use to spend some time watching the sea (if the room was at that direction).
Another great thing about this hotel is its location as it's in the city center, therefore no need for any transportation as it's possible to walk and get to most of the restaurants around it.
