I recently stayed at Ballicilar Hotel for two nights, and while the location is fantastic—right across from the Mevlana Museum, making it very convenient for sightseeing—the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The property is quite old and could use a good update.
The breakfast was very basic and lacked variety, which was disappointing. As for the beds, they were uncomfortable, and the mattresses definitely need replacement. To make matters worse, one of our friends had bed bug bites, which made our stay far from pleasant.
Overall, while the location is excellent, the poor condition of the rooms and lack of comfort make it hard to recommend this hotel. I hope management addresses these issues, as the place has great potential given its prime location.

In the heart of Konya. Walking distance from almost all the attractions of Konya including Jalal Eddine Al Rumi famous museum. Absolutely convenient to travelers seeking spiritual journey to Konya. Parking available, restaurants nearby, gift shops nearby. Friendly staff, spacious & clean rooms.

Great location in old town near mosques and museums. Tired small rooms with significant smoke residue. If you ask they may put an ozonator in the room while you go out for a while. Other than that, the room was clean including bathroom. Tired uninspired breakfast, serving instant coffee. Was ok for one night.

This hotel has the best location, friendly staff and helpful management. I enjoyed my time very much. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The architecture and design of the hotel is historic and comfortable. The coffee and tea bar is lovely with a verities of herbal and regular teas.

Balikcilar hotel was one of the best hotels I stayed, very friendly owner and his staff were so kind and welcoming. I would recommend anyone that comes to Konya to come and check it out!!

I had a great experience here. Atmosphere is so positive. Service is great. People who are working here are so friendly and helpful. It’s Clean, I had Rumi’s Shams view. This is the second time I’m coming, happy and surely will get back. 🙏
