Bera Konya Hotel

I had a fantastic stay at Bera Hotel in Konya. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I also tried the Turkish bath, which was a nice experience. The room was comfortable and clean, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.

We were originally booked at this hotel, but couldn't make it because we booked the wrong train with YHT. The hotel was super helpful and helped us out after we explain the situation. Would definitely stay with them if we have the chance to return to Konya.

Very modern, perfect clean, large rooms, fast wifi,, exceptional personnel. We have a problem with the booking agency, they understand and solve it immediately and MORE they offered us a free room upgrade💥 Excellent management very professional. Çok teşekkürler ederim!

We have stayed at Bera Konya twice during our two visits to Konya. The staff are extremely accommodating and kind. The hotel is in a perfect location that’s literally 13 mins from Mevlana centre, 8 mins from the big mall, 20 mins from the Konya Airport, 18 mins from the Konya science centre and drivable distance from the other attractions of Konya.

The breakfast buffet is delicious and have many variations each day. The staff at the restaurant are also always sweet and accommodating.

The rooms are big and clean and come with a mini fridge and kettle with complimentary drinks and coffee and tea.

The bathroom issue is that the shower divider is very small so you always get water in the main part of the bathroom which is annoying cause the one floor mat is then used to wipe the water out and the rest of the day you have to step on a moist floor mat. Overall the place is clean always and the bed is quite comfortable.

Will stay here again if we go visit Konya again.

The hotel is located in the central area of Konya, some 20-30 minutes from the airport. I booked two rooms in this hotel in December 2023.

What I liked:
- The rooms were very clean and the daily cleaning services were excellent.
- I was given non-smoking rooms in accordance with my request. The rooms were really non-smoking rooms, no smell from past smokers or from nearby smoking rooms. I liked this.
- The internal condition of the furniture and the overall construction finishing is very good and well maintained.
- The carpet is in very good condition and clean.
- The hot water is immediately available when you open the faucet. This is good. Shower water has a good pressure.
- The room heating (December, temperature was 0°C outside) was excellent.
- A dim lighting (concealed behind the mirror) is available in the toilet to avert glare at night. I view this feature as very important. Strong light hurts my eyes when I wake up to use the toilet at night.
- Kibla’s direction is displayed and a praying rug is provided. A safe is available too.
- Hand sanitation stations are provided in every floor near the elevator.
- Main corridor in each level is furnished with plenty of sofas and armchairs. Nice feature.
- The staircase handrail is fitted with a child fall-protection solid truss. See the photo. Very important feature.
- Served breakfast food (buffet) is well diversified and I liked it. The restaurant was very clean and the service is excellent. Staff were friendly.
- Receptionists at the main hotel counter were friendly, there is always somebody who speaks English. The check-in and check-out proceedings were fast.
- The location of the hotel is convenient for being in a well-served area (groceries, mosques, etc.).
- A free car parking is available.
- What I liked most was the pillow. It’s firm (not feather) and I was able to have a good sleep. I rarely sleep well in hotels because their pillows are filled with feathers.

What I did not like:
- Dinner consisted of one fixed meal (no choice). I did not like that. Maybe it's not logical to provide buffet dinner for a small number of customers, but there should be 2 or 3 options to choose from.
- The shower enclosure is half-open (no door) and I did not like that. The shower water will spill onto the floor outside, and you will feel a chill after taking a shower.
- An exposed 220-volt electrical socket is available in the immediate vicinity of the wash basin. This is unsafe and forbidden in most hotels. At least a suitable cover need to be provided.
- The TV stations included some international ones but ALJAZEERA (English and Arabic) was missing. This station is favoured by many because the mainstream Western media does not give the right picture when it comes to Middle East issues.

Conclusion:
The hotel is very good and highly recommended. I really wish that hotel management fixes those deficiencies.

I stayed in this hotel when I came here, the rooms are nice, they have a restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the atmosphere is amazing.

Good staff all round. Gave us early checkin. V good breakfast. Definetly not 4 star by European standards. Tour booked thru hotel was 55e pp was not worth it. Guide was not familiar with any of the important sites. She didn't share any info. If we asked about anything even RUMI she looked it up on google. Driver and guide sat with us for lunch we were obliged to pay for them soo we didn't tip them at the end. Disappointing tour. Waste of money.

Superb 4* hotel. We asked for a smoking room and were upgraded to a huge room with a living room. Quiet area, double glaze windows meant we didn't hear the early morning call to prayers.

Staff were helpful with taxis, late checkout, and giving directions.

Hotel is close to the Kataray Madrassa and Ince Mosque, but you need to catch a taxi to the Rumi Mausoleum and Mevlana Cultural Center. Be warned, catching taxis on a Saturday evening is very difficult especially if you're trying to make it in time for the 7pm performance.
