Exedra Cappadocia

Beautiful hotel but smell of cat’s urine especially in the room we stayed and the closet.

We traveled in a group of 40 people. That’s 20 rooms out of 29 rooms at this hotel (based on google info) and the hotel could not even offer to open ONE BOTTLE of wine unless buying a bottle from them. It’s a small gesture and it could offer for free.

At first a young blonde bartender was going to happily open it for free then Musa (he said he was a restaurant chef) walked up and denied it. It’s ridiculous. I am certain a 100% any hotels in Thailand whether 5 stars or 1 would offer for free with a smile.

Avoid this hotel. Tourist trap. We made a fully prepaid reservation for two nights. The front office manager is very unprofessional and rude. First started to ask for extra 35euros off the booking, after it magically turned into 140euro. We had to stop our vacation after one night as the reception personnel was constantly confused with the extra amounts they want us to charge for the already prepaid double room. They were literally calling to our room closer to 12 am and asking “35euro”. At the end just to resolve the upcoming conflict we still payed extra 70€ for the first night we stayed as they wanted. We didn’t get any receipt though for what exactly had we paid. I asked to talk to the general manager for further explanation and for a possible regulation of the conflict but we were refused. The front office manager literally said I’m the manager here. The breakfast was also very bad, all the buffet items like salami, cheeses etc were slightly dried- aired out, unfortunately I didn’t take a picture. The pool is also very small not like on the hotel pictures and incredibly cold, impossible to swim. The only person we felt professionalism from was the waiter lady at the pool. I think her name was Nata (sorry if I spelled it wrong). I’m a regular guest at Cappadocia region and it was unfortunately the worst experience. Try to prefer smaller boutique hotels of this area.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Guests have reported incidents of their personal belongings, including underwear, being stolen immediately after leaving their rooms. It seems the entire staff is involved in this, covering each other's tracks. As a woman traveling solo, I urge you to reconsider staying here, as your safety cannot be guaranteed.

We didn't have the greatest experience at this hotel but the staff tried to accommodate for the issues they caused with our room switches (we went as a large group). The location has nice views. The food was horrible. The fish I had for dinner buffet one night had small thin bones in it and got stuck in my throat. I had to leave to dislodge it and it was kind of scary. I told the server not sure he did anything about it. I left without finishing my meal and didn't eat again in this restaurant. I find this place a bit of a hazard.

- Room shown online is fake and doesn’t match with reality. I have added real pictures.
- Reception folks are very very rude and need to be trained on hospitality. They don’t understand English.
- Everyone here is greedy and want to make more money from you whether it is for water bottle or hot air balloon - they will charge you hell lot of extra money. They provide only 1 small water bottle per person.
- Location - This hotel is away from Goreme.
- Breakfast - Worst breakfast ever. Menu is limited and tasteless. You will find the hotel staff eating food on the go while serving.
- In room service - Tried twice - once for heater and another one for water bottle. both cases no one showed up ever even after calling twice. They clearly don’t want to work.
- Late checkout - Hotel rooms were available online still we were asked to checkout at 12. They were clearly not interested in helping for free at any cost.
